I think they took some music from silent hill 2 to put into the movie as well, but i liked that touch it was nice hearing the old music^_^

I use to play silent hill and had silent hill 3 w/soundtrack, but to me the whole story was boring about after the second one...I just lost interest. Still a neat series, sound track was creepy, wish I had kept it...What made me lose interest was the slugish moving slow reactions to trying to kill stuff.

ohh i know what you mean, i didn't like that either but it did put things in a more humanistic view. there was a point where something snapped in me and i just went out killing everything for fun i mean running after the monsters because i just wanted to kill. the pendulums in silent hill 3 were my favorite  had that awesome music at that part too

I hated those damn pendulems, they were everywhere in the sewers...They were so annoying, but pretty creepy and my reactions were like omg where is it!!! The door dudes were pretty messed up as well, I love the scene of the cooked dog on the table, and I was like wtf!!! such a sick and twisted game, I loved the sick messed up side of silent hill, thats what I really loved about it, otherwise, i couldnt stand playing it with halfass movement and slow reactions of shooting stuff, I loved the ending where the dog is in a control room and is actually controlling the whole game...It made me go WTF like 100 times!!!

There are several soundtracks PS92. Each game has an official soundtrack and an unofficial fan released rip of the unreleased tracks from each game. Silent Hill 4 also has an alternative American soundtrack, a trance soundtrack and a story disk (although only in Japanese)
I can easily say Silent Hill 2 has the best soundtrack of any game or film ever, that it is my favourite album ever and that the series' composer, Akira Yamaoka, is my favourite musician ever.
i thought silent hill was silent except for sound fxs....oh well

hey if you want all the songs from the sound tracks of Silent Hill Check it out, all you do is click on the album, right click save link to desk top or a folder and play it on iTunes (recommended to burn to CD's for personal Use...I hate illiegal stuff)
Windows Media Player is difficult to work with when downloading music and burning... Just like above, I should really read the post XD....ahaha yea

The Silent Hill 2 soundtrack is one of the only game soundtracks I can listen to from start to finish without feeling like skipping any tracks.

Agreed. Although I love the 1st, 3rd and 4th soundtracks, there are tracks which I would usually skip when listening to them, however, Silent Hill 2 is just bliss from beginning to end.
The album opens and closes with two songs that I would say are some of the best songs ever. Theme of Laura and Promise. If nothing else, they show that if you hand Yamaoka a guitar he can destroy all others.

I had a quick listen to this a few days ago, and I can tell that the soundtrack is going to be amazing, however, i'm waiting for either a more organized rip or an official release.

I think the Origins soundtrack is pretty sweet.
Though, even though I like the vocal tracks, it could still need a little bit of Joe Romersa.

Does that Origins rip include the vocal tracks, as in, all the audio from the ISO? Or just the soundtrack? I don't wanna spoil the game for myself by litening to dialogue.

Just the music

Origins (the game) is out?

No, just a leaked demo has been released - except it has most of the game files on it, including the music.

Scream, the demo was leaked ages ago after someone stole the demo UMD from the Leipzig Games Convention, ripped it and uploaded it.
DO you have a homebrew enabled PSP that can run ISOs?

Little article about the leak here HERE (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=27874) with Climax's response to it
I don't have a PSP and i don't intend on getting one, so i watched the video walkthrough of the demo HERE (http://silenthill5.net/2007/08/21/silenthillorigins-com-exclusive-silent-hill-origins-demo-walkthrough.html) and it seems pretty cool actually.
James

At the start of the demo you are given a warning to play the game in a room with the lights off and with headphones.
Needless to say it scared the shit out of me and I NEVER thought I'd get that from a portable.

No PSP for me right now.. Maybe later. Is the gameplay as good as the other SH games? Haven't watched that movie of the demo yet.
James

The gameplay is pretty well done, it still keeps a feel of Silent Hill though to be honest it does have that western feel, and doesnt have the charm of SH1 2 and 3.
However, it's extremely well to play. There's a few more action orientated sequences but the game is definitely a Silent Hill game, and it runs mostly a fluid 60fps too. Graphics are extremely nice, and the atmosphere is top notch (it scared the sbit out of me just doing it in a room alone with only headphones)

I guess it didn't turn out too bad then. SH5 on the other hand, who knows..
James
09-06-2007, 02:30 AM
Yeha I am very skeptical about SH5, but I am confident that Climax have done an awesome job on Origins.
