lol, i noticed jill's eye color changed :P she used to have nice brown eyes.. like me -.- but then they changed it to blue in remake. i prefer her with brown :lol:
i'm sure there's plenty other mistakes too
umm like the fact in resi 4 mercs the giant dr salvadors can't be thrust punched, c kicked, kicked, neckbreakered or kneeded its just stupid lol

The only real glitch/bug i know of is the grenade ammo cheat in REmake

yea the reremake grenade cheat, on survivor facing your back towards enemies except zombies, jills re3 costume in the remake shows some panties and so does ashley in re4, resident evil 2 freezing when you open a door sometimes, in re2 tap the run button constantly and you can skip across the floor kinda...there are tons...

In RE2 for the PC, when you are playing as Leon and are about to run on the catwalk (before the cutscene where Ada will have a gun pointed at you, asking for the g-virus), you can see her at the top of that thing in the middle at a certain angle.
In RE4, when you shoot the crows in the area where the first El Gigante would later attack you, if you shoot ones that are flying by the fence, they might fall and get stuck in the air (not on the fence). Really irritates me.

i don't know but this is a stretch
A person with blue eyes usuall has the color blue as thier favorite (i do) which might go with jills outfit better
also it makes her more identifiable as a protagonist
once again its a stretch
Also How can you tell what color jills eyes are in the original

The originol was more japanese oriented and the majority of asians have brown eyes
jill is a white american female and in the remake they made her more american with blue eyes
However I thought jill had green eyes

Would you rather have REmake look like Dead Aim. Every room and lighting effects were done with "Photo-realistic pictures", even though its all pre-endered like the original. As they said, 70% of the REmake is *different* from the original.

RE1's Jill was supposed to have blue eyes going by Takeuchi's sketches, as did Chris. Rebecca had brown eyes. The point is moot because the games had different character artists in almost every game. It has nothing to do with realism, so Branden, that comment of yours is a bit odd.

For what it's worth Leon has green eyes and 'Becca's are Brown in RE1 at least before becoming green . . .

Theres a bug in RE2 when playing as Hunk, Near where Nemesis breaks through the window towards the 2nd floor steps in the RPD. Apparently you can make Hunk float high above the camera. I think it has to do with Mr X punching you right when you start down the steps but Im not sure. I think there was a video not too long ago on REFAN about it.

RE1 PSX: "Dose you want to take the broken shotgun?"
And one I encountered the other day (also in RE1 original PSX) - I was pushing the statue off the dining room balcony and then ran to the exit, as I was running away from the gap in the balcony the camera angle just stayed static, even though I was on the other side of the room. As I was leaving the room the camera angle still showed the gap in the balcony (I couldn't see the character). Not sure why it did this, but I remember doing the process of pushing the statue and running in a "record time" lol. Maybe if your too quick it messes up lol.

In RE2 on Leon's scenario if you disc swap with Claire's disc around the time when Ada is falling off the balcony instead of hearing Leon say "Adaaa!" (or "noo" or whatever he says) you will hear Claire say "Sucker!". It's more funny when you discover it yourself than read about it though.
RE2 (the first ps versions i think) also misspelled Magnum to Mugnum iirc

Yeah it is real on the RE2 PSX version. The "sucker" line is of course taken from what Claire says in her second scenario when Mr X falls off the, you guessed it, balcony.

Also in RE2 Ada Can Be poisoned and will walk around as such but won't die (I Think)

I forgot about an RE1 PSX bug I got. Barry and I were heading towards the blood spot, but he stopped and wouldn't move about half-way down the table. I fired rockets through him and everything, he just would keep looking around. I have it on video XD
Also the Wolf bug in RE4. Found that in the demo and had a video up on the site.

After releasing the wolf from the bear trap, if you shoot it just as it jumps it will get stuck in the air, and run from you when you get close. You can run around near it through the whole map.

my code veronica was left out by my little sister.. it was so scratched up so i thought i'll see how far i get. i get to antartic base and it just wasn't playable anymore.. really weird the footstep noises became door opening noises. shooting guns turned into claire's "ah" noise lol it was funny and the whole game was silent it was just sound effects :lol:

My Code Veronica is weird too. On the DC, Claire aims in completely the opposite directions of where the zombie is, but if you shoot it still hurts the zombie! Even though you're aiming at the wall!

Well I played on RE:2, Claire's Second Scenario, A Continual mistake. On the second floor, in the East, Above the Eastern Office, in the Crow Hall where Tyrant 001 (or 000, i cannot recall correctly, or I might be wrong altogether) makes his first appearance, On the inside of the Hall, The windows are broken, But when your outside on the Staircases that join the Crow hall with the Eastern Office, They are not broken.
And there was something else, but it has slipped my mind :'(

Not really a glitch but I found this a bit odd. I was playing the Mercenaries 'operation Mad-Jackal' on RE3 GC. Run past the bar's back entrance, past the Nemesis and onto the main street, then run around to the bar's front entrance. Enter the bar and rescue Brad from the zombies, then exit via the rear door. The Nemesis will still be there waiting for you and a second later you will hear a door open and a 2nd Nemesis will come running into the scene. They will both remain and try to kill you (usually successfully).
btw, the Nemesis stills scares me. No matter how many times I play it. Especially if I run away. There's something about his roar, followed by the stomping of his feet as he begins chasing me. When I get to a door and he's right behind, about to thump me, I flinch every time.

There are supposed to be 2 nemesises.
It's a bonus game so it's not canon, they had to have the double nemi to add more difficulty.

oh I hated that, Running through the cooridor and having the two nemmies run at you to kill you, you have to knock them down and run and pray they dont get up before you reach the door...ahaha and its really cool when the nemesis killes zombies to get to you...its pretty cool.

but please beware (be careful) when you change disc, because when you change disc you must first switch off the PS power or else PS may have problem if you just change other disc without switch off the power.
I remember someone told me that you must first switch off power before you can change disc or else the PS will damage/out of order/depreciate faster

If you power off when doing that swap then the game resets, you won't get to hear Claire say "sucker" at that point.

In resident evil dead aim, the advanced hunters will travel around in a circle untill you move...this can be spotted several times in the games in a preset pattern of going in circles...its pretty entertaining to just watch them do nothing when your in site as plain as day...ahaha

On my first (or maybe my second?) PSX the spindle fell apart, too much disk swapping while the CD was still spinning. I think I replaced the whole CD laser unit. I had to use some sticky stuff on my games temporarily till I got it replaced otherwise the PSX would just throw the CD around like a blender. Will it blend? That is the question..

wow, i didn't know it'd do that :o i better stop playing around with mine then. when mine broke i took it apart and cleaned the fan and everything. it kept saying disk read error everytime so i just cleaned out the lense and i did soemthing witht he black ribbon on it i think i pushed it further back or something. anyway i got it to work :lol:

Same thing Scream described happened to a Sega Saturn I once owned a number of years back. I just brought a new one for dirt cheap in the end... wasn't worth fixing.
You must not have gotten far in any of the Final Fantasy games on PSX then eh?
well thankfully FFs on the PSX allowed end of disc game saves, it was games like chrono cross and MGS that didnt (and are still a hassle whenever i replay them)

A few I noticed
On the van Leon and Ada push in RE2, the side reads "EMERGENCEY DAIL"
In RE2, in the final fights of the A scenarios, when you injure Birken so that he mutates, and then when he dies, the cutscene shows him in thecentre of the room, yet G-4 / G-4 corpse spawns where you were fighting.
In RE4, as Leon surveys the village in the beginning with the binoculars, the directions (North South East West) don't concur with the directions on the map.
And one I read. Possibly on TWilde's plot analysis on gamefaqs.
In RE2 when playing the ClaireA/LeonB arc, When Claire sees Leon on the monitors towards the end of the scenario, he isn't bandaged. When playing as Leon at that point he is

There's like a million spelling mistakes in the backgrounds. A lot of them only noticable with the RE3 hi-res background images. Also the text in the backgrounds can be pretty funny sometimes, they seem to like Todd Mcfarlane, I see his name even in the Dino Crisis backgrounds (I think somewhere near the first T-Rex encounter).

I tried the disc-swap on my biohazard 2 on dreamcast. The dreamcast really doesn't like you opening the lid while it's playing. It goes straight back to the dreamcast hub.

ah the only one i HAVE come accross is the nemesis type 3 getting stuck into the wall where he comes from in the final fight. that made life so easy :)
Numerous typos throughout the RE series (1-3) I'll try and remember them for another day.
Also in Code Veronica, in game Chris has blue eyes but in the ending FMV where he is in the fighter jet they are brown.

MAJOR DISCOVERY!
In RE0, IN THE MANSION ENTRYWAY, stand directly to the right of the stairs(facing the typrwriter table) and hit A to check.
If you're in the right place, it should say something like,
"A wall of flames looms before you."
Isnt that from CVX!?!

In Resident Evil 2 You first find the dead cop in the hallway of the RCPD, under the breaker box, with his head twisted off. You then round the corner and meet the first Licker. Notice during the cutsense, in the back ground the headless body is gone. It just vanished. But soon as the cut is over the body's back.
I had assued that because the cut was edioted (the Licker tears up the body with his tongue) the programers moved the headless body away from where the Licker comes out to the under the breaker but forgot to fix that in the cut

Yeah, the scene was origionally not gonna be FMV. You were gonna walk to the point, the severed head would drop in front of you, you'd look up staggering back and the Licker would drop. My memory might be playing tricks on me but I'm sure I saw it myself in one of the RE2 Betas.
Sadly, what's left of my mind tends to play tricks on me a lot. But I'm pretty sure that was what happened.

In RE: UC i had a really bad glitch, like ten minutes ago. It was chapter End of Umbrella, 2 i think maybe 3 but right after i get to the bottom of this elevator, having just fought all these enemies it happened. I advanced towards a door hear the sound of an enemy behind me and see a licker drop when I turned around. Before I got to shoot it, it vanished and the licker walking sound (pitta-patta pitta-patta or something like that lol) got stuck in a loop and the licker wasnt even there. I waited for like 5 minutes and when it didnt appear I just started the level over. When I got to that part again, it didnt happen. Wierd, huh?

I had one last night, fighting Talos, in the first half of the battle. At one point he simply got 'stuck', he couldn't move, fire, nothing. I thought great, open up the heavy artillery and have a field day on him! :D ..only problem, had nothing heavy really, so threw my last 2 grenades, used up the last of the machine gun, then regular handgun fire from then on...unfortunately he finally broke out of it, say he was stuck for about a minute, maybe a minute & 15 seconds.

This game is really messed up. I was fighting Nemesis(replaying level for files) and he got stuck in a looping animation. It's where he stretches his tentacles up, getting ready to grab you, when you shoot him enough. He does a flinching half twist thing. Well, he got stuck and pirouetted until I killed him. It was actually kind of funny :)
No trouble with T.A.L.O.S. though.

Yea, you would think the game would be more refined and would have been tested to the fullest for mistakes, but no game is perfect...there are many glitches and mistakes in everygame out there. I just cant wait to play it, man i wish I had a Wii :(

I know in Umbrella Chronicles in the Mansions bathroom, if you shoot a Zombie with the Shotgun and it flies back though the shower curtains, the curtains fly upwards like a powerful fan is blowing them up and they stay that way.
I also noticed in the Main Hall of the Mansion, if you play Chris and let a Zombie attack you when you stand in front of the stairs( after you try to go out the main door), if you counter the Zombies attack and Chris kicks him away, the Zombie will fly up the stairs and hit the wall.
Thats all I can think of for now.

The bathroom is accessible? ..sure I fired a few rounds at it before, nothing happened. Gonna have to investigate it once again.
Any more doors/rooms which can be gotten into, in any of the chapters?? ..might not have gotten into them yet, and seem to be missing alot of files. But have completed the game, its where to look for the missing ones.

This is either a glitch or I'm just damn skillful (or maybe it could be described as a trick). I killed Nyx with just a survival knife!^_^
I was playing Outbreak file 2- End of the Road. At the battle with Nyx my one remaining idiot companion, Kevin, ran ahead and grabbed the rocket launcher, fired and missed! He then got himself killed... So I'm firing off my remaining weapons and quickly ran out of ammo for everything. I had NOTHING but a survival knife. I ran up really close (front on) and just started hacking. He couldn't harm me. The tentacles couldn't reach me and I was too close to swat away. Infact, every time he tried to stand I slashed his 'sweet spot' a couple of times and he was forced down again. It took a long time and I was getting a sore thumb from hammering the button but it worked and I killed him.
I then rescued Linda, found my purpose in life and lived happily ever after :)
I've been enjoying replaying the Outbreak games again, I'm tempted to try to unlock/buy EVERYTHING. Has anyone actually bothered to get 100%?
I'd like to rip all the movies into one big compilation but don't have the technical know how. The movies in those games have to be the best quality out of ANY RE game. They just look awesome...

Check out the video where I fight him, he start shooting rockets, but then nothing but smoke comes out haha.
I guess he stops firing rockets after you damage him enough, but it looked really silly.

During Umbrella's End scenario, when first form of Talos is beaten and it start to transform, we can hear Sergei's voice commenting this.
In Dark Legacy scenario, when Wesker approach Sergei, Chirs and Jill just start fighting with Talos (first form), and Sergei start his mutation, and battle with Wesker, a moment later. So, in the end, in Dark Legacy he doesn't say anything about Talos transformation. Continuity error.
Also, second error - UC is the first RE ever that doesn't end with big explosion! :O

I suggest that before uploading, go to Gamefaqs (http://gamefaqs.com/) and search Umbrella Chronicles, this guy has a file loations faq on there ive been using.

I'm only missing 3 files, but I have all scenarios and infinite ammo unlocked.
How many criticals did you have to get for 'Raccoon 1' to achieve an 'S" rank(HARD)? ...I've done this from the very start up to this point on Hard, all 'S' ranks...but, this scenario.. --> >_< ...the Prima guide guide says 71, which is obviously wrong, as I got 60 on Normal, when it called for 54, and got a 'B'....but, says '71' for Hard, or,I'm assuming that is what it is saying(?)
This chapter has really f*cked things up, yes, have had some really tough chapters to deal with for an 'S' rank so far, but this take's the cake.
Just trying for the 'crits' takes too much "time"..giving you a 'C', specifically...
Plus, I'm missing 1 file...the strat guide has to be wrong, gone through it countless times, every single spot checked over and over....any spot they missed?? ...I know they've got it wrong in other chapters.

Critical hits are easy for me, I beat Mansion Incident 1 with around 100 hits I think.

How about 'Raccoon 1'?? ...any fond memories? ..and, is there in fact, a file on the stairs just before "Main Street" ??? ...the area in 'Outbreak 1', the "J's Bar Scenario"...
dunno, think that is the locaton I'm missing...or, that is what they 'say'..anyways.

Whats a "CH"?? ...not a 'ch'eat I hope...
And the main problem in this chapter, is that you don't have the time to take out all the zombies that you need at your time frame, thats my problem, I'm taking out the "crits", but its taking too much time...and, according to the guide, its not even meeting the critierira...whats up with that!?
This is really screwing my infinite ammo run...

I dont know if anyone else has this problem, but Ive gotten S rank on TD 1&2 but I havent gotten The Past Items im supposed to according to the guide(Briefcase & Relief of whatever) on Normal mode. I got 5 S's on both but nothing. Can anyone help? I have gotten other past items by accident in other parts of the game, tho.

MEGA BUMP CUZ OF FREAKY GLITCH THING!
Okay I was screwing around with my AR on GC version of RE4. I decided to find out what happens when you use Instant Final Boss Battle...in Mercenaries.
Heres what happened
I picked krauser and selected a level. (cant remember which one) and held the button combo while loading.
When It finished loading, I was at the final boss fight.
But only a few feet above the water! So Im walking on air, when I spot something shiny sitting on the rocks, but I cant get a good look at it.
So I changed to Ada and repeated the trick.
It works, so i go to the spot, equip the rifle and zoom in.
Guess what? Its a set of keys with a little bear attached.
So is it Beta? Maybe you originally picked up the key yourself? What do you guys think?

I'm suprised this hasn't been posted yet (seriously, I can't be the only one who did this...)
In REmake, in the art hall with the maiden statue, pick up the dagger and get the zombie to come into the room. Keep hugging the wall where you picked up the dagger and the zombie wouldn't be able to grab you, it'll just do the animations and miss, even though its like an inch away from you.
This also happened to me randomly when i stood under one of the lights in the Kenneth hall, but that one's probably harder to do again.

if i recall those are the keys for the jetski...
btw, its not normal but if you use walk through walls, you can find random items outside of the level..

I know its the JS key, but I thought the placement was really wierd.
And it doesnt matter if you have Walk Through Walls on or not, nothing down at the base of the island is solid.

i know in RE2, just before you fight that massive alligator, if you read the door of the trash room, there's a typo (can't for the life of me remember what it says mind you) i think it's probably due to thngs being "lost in translation" from Japanese to English.
I think someone should start a topic for all the typo's in all the RE games :D.

Well in RE4, the AI is pretty glitchy. In the sewers with the Nosvistadors in the little pit bit where there is a ladder either side and two Nosvistadors [I normally snipe them but I was doing a knife run], they would get stuck running against each other at the base of the ladder and not even jump up when you neared it as they were stuck. A pain when you are doing a knife run. Jump down and you get maulled to death. :S
Thats not the only problem with them, the one that hides around the corner after this bit and is activated by either going around the corner or going into a cell, if you approach the corner, he'll either run around the wall at you or run on the floor but if you dodge his attack he'll drop to the floor if he's on the wall and stare at you for a few seconds and then run back to his start point. If you run out of the cell that activates him when he is close, he'll follow you around on the roof, drop down and attack you and then do a similar thing of just standing there (as long as you are not too close to the cell).
Another thing I noticed was the Wolfs on 2-1 near the church. Using only knife I would lure them to jump across the gaps and knife as they land, they would fall off the bridge but also hover before jumping back on.
UC is very glitchy but thankfully I only really had one glitch. It was on Rebirth 1, you battle some chimera's turn around a corner then 180 and three crimson heads are supposed to attack you but only two did, the third got stuck out of site behind a wall. I could hear him but do nothing.

HOW TO KNIFE THE ZOMBIE ELEPHANT TO DEATH
I did this with david on easy mode using the folding knife.
Run to the door leading to the elephant stage. Hopefully the elephant will come over the door. Keep trying until it does. When it does Run around him from the behind and get on the left side. Get somewhere beside him thats between his head and back side. (Make sure to not be behind him) Get his attention by attacking him. Keep attacking him he will keep trying to step on you from behind so he stays put and cant hit you. Enjoy the hours worth of knifing. Now partners wont mess it up as he will be focused on you. They can even help take him down. He moves around alot especially when you take him down a level. You can be hurt from him stepping on you during these shifts. Good thing there are some healing items behind you. But you wont be hit much. Just reposition yourself when he moves and keep knifing.
Note: A stronger knife or mele weapon would probably work better. I used the folding knife because it comes with david and he has the knife combo.
I just discovered this a few minuets ago.

I always thought the Barry line "This time I'll be there" was a glitch and was meant for later on in the game talking about RE1 original how do get Barry to give you the Bazooka on the 2F landing staircase instead of the outside balcony I've forgot how also is it possible for Forest to turn into a zombie like the DC version on the NGC remake?

I always took that line as referencing the fact that Wesker had disappeared from the main hall when Jill and Barry returned from the dining room, whereas Barry would be there if Jill needed him.
If that makes sense.

i wish someone could invent a code for mercinary mode to have more than 2 nemesis chasing you and have about 3 or 4 now that would be a interesting challenge to survive-.-

Sorry for the bump:
I was playing Biohazard 2 BETA 2, and I shot the wall in the tram with a rocket launcher, where Ada gets hit by William in LeonB, the wall was bleeding, I wondered what the hell, then I get HIT by William G2's (I think) claw, I shot all of my 33 Rocket launcher bullets, and he finally fell leaving me on danger. I don't know if this works in RE2/BH2.
I think it happens like this:
Williams claw hits Ada.
Change bg "Tram 2" to "Tram 2B."
Change "Williams Hand" to "No Model."
If hit ignore, if too powerful change action "William BOSS"
I don't know, just an example from my mind! xD
He was invisible, though...But the rocket launcher pointed right at him as if Leon could see him.
I don't know if this has been posted, but meh.

If you teleport from the turntable control room (the one on the wall of the turntable shaft) to the marshalling yard (the one w/o the turntable present) there's a possibility that the service lift is located on the catwalk, instead of its usual position. Board the "lift" as usual and you'll float on air, you can even walk around. This is similar to the stairway glitch in the 4th Survivor mini-game. :D
And while not quite a glitch, part of the safety railings (where the cable car doors are aligned with) at the sewer cable car station does not have any collision detection so you can walk on air. Ada's AI kinda goes crazy when you do this since she can't "find" you. :waga waga
