The list seems to be only playable characters. However, that dosn't explain why there's no Fong Ling, Alyssa, Yoko, Cindy or Sherry. Damn, would it be THAT hard to make an all inclusive poll? :rollseyes

*Ada Wong. I liked her in RE2, LOVED her in RE4 and she was one of the few good things in RE:UC. Sexy, Mysterious and Dangerous. Just how I like my chicks.

*Fong Ling. Sure, she's kind of just a Chinese version of Ada (ironically? 'Wong' is actually a Chinese name but I read that Ada is supposed to be Japanese/American) .I thought she was great and had an interesting profile. I wish Capcom kept her involved. A Fong vs Wong all mighty bitchfight could have been amazing. Maybe they thought western audiences would become confused if a game featured 2 Asian chicks...

*Jill Valentine. She was just okay in RE1 but I loved her in RE3. She was really cool. However, I don't like the facial reconstruction she had for REmake and RE:UC. I think she looks like a strange robot now. In RE3 she looked sexy like, well... Sienna Guillory.
Also her personality has really changed. It made sense for her to go from girly young girl to kick ass cool, from RE1 to RE3. But in Remake she's a weird combination of both and in RE:UC she truly IS a robot (missing its personality chip).

*Claire Redfield. Probably the most human and sensible of the RE females (if you ignore the opening movie of RE:CV). I like her and look forward to seeing her in Degeneration.

*Alyssa. She's a strong female character, can fire a gun and has some cool outfits. I like her.

*Rebecca Chambers. Not really 'my kind of girl' but I guess she's okay.

*Yoko. She can carry lots of shit and testifies in court against Umbrella. That's more than many have done.

*Cindy (or 'Nurse Feelgood'). Follows instructions well and really cares. Hard not to like the girl.

*Ashley. I don't have a problem with her. Yes, she's useless but I don't hate her. She holds some amusement for me.

*Sherry. Is a survivor. Like that 'Newt' chick in Aliens. She played her role well and it will be interesting to see what she's become in RE5 (presuming she's in it).

You can tell by the list I only included characters from the main series. Characters like Cindy and Alyssa aren't really that important or as popular as any of the other main characters, so I didnt include them. I only added Ashley as a joke.

I liked Fong Ling...she was bad ass without being overly sexual about it. And everyone bitching about Ashley...yeah she got annoying, but she was probably the most realistic character in the entire series. She's a civilian that gets kidnapped and treated as a test subject. Blame Capcom for making her annoying, and Leon for making her useless. He's walking around with a shit ton of guns and doesnt even give her a stick to smack ganados with.

Jill without a doubt...my particular favorite iteration of her is the REmake/Umbrella Chronicles version that was modeled after Julia Voth. Im quite glad that they kept the model for the future games as well as the pachinko movie.

I guess she seems like that in the games, but her back story seems like she'd be a bitch. Wasn't she a cat burglar, then made it through S.T.A.R.S. training, and to do so she'd have to be "one of the guys" She does seem submissive in ReMake, but in RE3 she seemed kinda butch.

With Rebecca, she was passed trough STARS training without having to really do anything, so she still has her child like innocence.

She wasn't a thief my friend. She just learned some tactics from his father Dick Valentine. She used those knowledges in the right way, also she was advised by her father to join the police unit of R.P.D S.t.a.r.s.
He was pretty famous in Raccoon City, he went to prison and was found guilty for one of his many crimes.

And Becca is just the healing girl type of innocent chick with no particular quality ... they tried to make her badass in RE0 which undoubtedly failed.

She's either of no importance at all or she's an overrated character...

Yeah but at the time she was only 18 and just out of high school. I would imagine she has changed over the last 10 years like all the other characters, assuming she is still alive. I agree with Jill Lover that she really is of no importance to the series, so it really doesnt make her any better than the other characters. I thought she was incredibly annoying in Umbrella Chronicles.

Well I wouldn't say it's 100% unofficial, at least is more background story. Rebecca is fine the way she is, i don't think Capcom would consider her for another adventure, the only one which made sense was RE0... because it was a prequel... I think RE0 should have had Enrico as a main character...
