My name's Gene. 21 year old Australian currently working in Japan as an English teacher. Been a fan of the series since Resident Evil on the playstation was released in Australia (if not before. Not sure exactly, a friend had an import copy, but I don't know if before the local release).
RE2 is my favourite by far.
I spend too much on my Resident Evil collection. Moving to Japan certainly hasn't helped.

Been reading around here for a while, but only signed up a few months ago, because most of the people here seemed serious enough. I'll just say thats something that's seriously lacking in other forums I've visited.

A bit more background. I've got a B.Sc with a major in Genetics, so I actually know a bit about DNA, RNA and viruses and things, at least in real life. Going back to uni in 2009 to futher my education in the field once my working contract in Japan ends

Been a Resident Evil since the game first came out and hope to find more info about Resident Evil that I don't already know.

Huge RE fan & strictly a PC Gamer. I've never had, and will never buy a console. I've managed to play so far: RE1 (the original, not the remake), 2, 3 (all time favorite), CV (emulated) & 4.

I've also watched the RE movies. IMHO the 1st one is pretty good. I enjoy it every time I watch it. But the other two are two of the worst movies I've ever seen. :\

I enjoy playing computer games, reading forums & watching movies. I am a very calm guy, I hardly ever get upset. :)

I found THIA while googling about RE4: Incubate. I am not a member of other RE forums although I frequently visit Bioflames as a guest.

I am not a collector, I don't have friends that are RE fans, I don't speak Japanese, and I don't have access to any special builds.

Still, I think that I have to offer a lot to this community.


I'd like to thank the THIA staff for all the incredible things they've shared with us so far (my favorite is "True Story Behind Biohazard"), and I hope that there are more to come. I am a VERY patient guy. :)

Yeah, the N64 version was great! I haven't played that one in a loooong time though..Choosing my favorite Resident Evil title is a hard one...I think the ones I've played through over again the most are Resident Evil 2, CODE: Veronica X, and Resident Evil 4....maybe those are my favorites lol.

Thought i should do this as i joined yesterday and just randomly started posting too much stuff and annoying people haha,

Im Martin, im 22, i bought the resident evil game when it first came out, i was 11 or 12 at the time and it took me forever to complete as i had never experienced a game like it before and ever since then i was completely hooked.

I own every game on all consoles, I even own the resident evil 4 limited edition Gamecube console. I own the movies even though there are ridiculously shit, i own all the graphic novels and the rare book umbrella archives, also own weskers report on dvd and numerous other amounts of random and rare merchandise.

I consider myself to be a massive fan and im currently working on my own resident evil book which sticks to the series and im oping will stay as good as it has started.

Nah, I'm from Queens (Jamaica City and Jackson Heights to be specific). I moved down to Miami in 1992 and haven't been back. The closest I've been back to New York was last November 2007 when I road tripped up to North Carolina to camp out in the wet cold as balls forest. My favorite part of the trip was going home :3 The woods kicked my ass. It probably was the 12 miles of constant up hill down hill hiking carrying heavy ass camping gear and me being terribley out of shape...

Hey everyone! Some of you I know, some of you I am meeting for the first time. I've been a long time THIA lurker, but for some reason or another, I've never actually gotten around to making any contributions to the forum. With all of the RE5 buzz currently going on, I figured that now might be a good time to finally jump on board and say "Hello!" I've been a huge fan of the Resident Evil series of games ever since I first played through the original way back in 1996. I used to spend quite a bit of time over at reH, but have since started working with Krispy and his excellent team in trying to get Project Umbrella up and running. (Shameless plug.) Even if Resident Evil 5 isn't exactly shaping up to be what a lot of us "old-school" RE fans (including myself) might have wanted, at least we have something new to discuss. I'm really looking forward to participating in some of the great topics that are brought up on this site, as well as getting to know all of you better. I'd also like to quickly take this opportunity to personally thank Dot, P.O., cvxfreak, Carnivol, and A-J for all their news contributions. (If I forgot anyone, my apologies.) Hats off to you guys! Your hard work is definitely appreciated! Your contributions have made THIA the place to go for any news regarding the Resident Evil franchise. Give yourselves a big pat on the back. Thanks again!

Wow, well I've been posting around the forums a bit but I guess I never saw this thread strangely so I never properly introduced myself lol.

I've been a huge RE fan ever since the original that came out on the PS1 back in 96 and its probably been my favorite video game series ever since then. My favorite RE game is probably between REmake and RE3, just because Nemesis is my all time favorite enemy of the series!

I've been lurking the forums for quite sometime now and I guess it was around E3 where I finally decided to join up with all the RE5 hype. I currently run a Resident Evil database of my own called Resident Evil HQ (www.rehq.spruz.net). Its currently, nowhere near finished but its mostly because I've been trying to find my own time to work on it myself but its hard cause I'm the only one working on it at the moment. If anyones interested in wanting to help, feel free ask!

Anyways, I wanted to say that this is such a great site and such the effort the staff goes through to put up all the videos and hell, even translate books such as Incubation is amazing. You guys rock!

Hello all. I'm new here, but I've been lurking for some time I guess. I always check this site for RE news. I've been a fan of RE for yearsandyears now. I think the first game I played was Code Veronica, and I had no idea what was going on storyline wise, but I loved the gameplay and plot, so I checked out the earlier games and the rest they say is history!

My favorite character has to be Ada Wong, she's so kick ass. I love the depth of her character. In close second is Wesker, whom I like for similar reasons as Ada. They both are usually the main characters in the fan fictions I write.

So yeah.

Thought I would finally post here. I registered recently here and have been reading the forums quite a lot. As many of you here, I like to call myself a loving fan of the series, it's true that I don't have an arsenal of RE collections but having played RE1 when it first came out I have ever since had a passion for the series. I came by this site and forums through immense research of RE (I tend to do that every once and a while) and this looked like a nice community :)

A bit about myself:

I am from Norway, am 20 years of age and I study computer science (programming). Forums wise I'm an administrator over at TheBattlefields.com (gaming community). That's pretty much it (or at least the most interesting! Hehe.).

I've actually tried haggis, it's pretty good stuff. It's similar to black pudding, except it's got oats, lungs, heart and liver in it. As for kilts, can't say I've ever worn one of those.

Hello! And thank you! 8D 2 is also one of the games I love so much. It's hard to rank them since they've all been so much fun. But 2 was started my experience when it first came out so it is special in that way. XD

And yes! Haha, Wesker is super creepy, but that's why I love him. He's probably my favorite antagonist ever because he's never the end-all final boss, doesn't mis-step much in that generic antagonist way, just goes to do what he has to and slaps everyone around if they try to get in his way. Yet he chills around in the background and manipulates so much happening in the series. Even at the end of UC he's THERE and keeps on truckin'.

I used to lurk in rehorror back in the day, but haven't been to a RE forum for awhile. And LOL, I haven't played an RE game in over 6 months, because I simply don't have alot of time for gaming anymore.

Aside from that, I love all things Jill Valentine, even the Jill who appeared in the crapfest known as RE: Apocalypse.
And I don't even own a system to enjoy playing the upcoming RE5

ChrisRedfield29 was my first ever AOL screenname that I used to role-play with in chatrooms. Lame, I'm sure, but I was like 10 or 11 or 12, I don't remember. I played as Chris and mainly tried to RP-bang any Jill I could find. I thought I was incredibly suave.

Now I'm in my sophomore year of college, still an avid gamer as ever, PSN ID's are in my sig.

Resident Evil is my 2nd favorite series behind Metal Gear Solid, with the Final Fantasy 'series' bringing up the rear in 3rd. After that comes the SOCOM series. MGS4 was epic, but I still love the original more. Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII will be sweet when they come out in 2012, and RE5 looks like it will be awesome with the addition of online co-op. SOCOM: Confrontation is out on October 14th and it will eat up most of my time.

Currently all I do is study and read, and watch episodes of the funniest show in the history of television, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Hulu.com and am currently enjoying Season 4 a little too much, Thursdays at 10 on FX. If you ever wanna talk to me about anything Sunny, I'll gladly oblige, I've seen every episode over 10 times.
Other shows I dig: Entourage, Terminator: SCC, Fringe, waiting impatiently on 24 Season 7 and Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 6.

I enjoy listening to Bullet for My Valentine and I want to marry Hayley Williams from Paramore.
