November 28, 2005 - Capcom has revealed its tentative sales targets for the last half of the financial term, and Resident Evil is leading the pack. For the period between October of this year and March of 2006, Capcom expects to sell two million copies of Resident Evil 4 for the PlayStation 2. The game has already shipped 1.1 million copies to America and Europe and will see Japanese release on 12/1.

In other news, I expect to eat one thousand pizzas.

Will I do it? Probably have about as much chance as Capcom selling that many copies of a ported game.

You forget though, this isn't really a ported game. The people who bought it on the GC will buy it for the PS2 for all the extra stuff, and those who didn't get it for the Cube because they either don't have one or don't like it, will also pick it up.

I personally think they'll reach their goal of selling 2 million.
