So, they are about $20 each, yes? Seems very cheap... I'm guessing they must be small but I like small figures. The detail and the scenes created with each model are fantastic.
It's been a while since I had new RE figures to hunt down and I'm excited about these ones... YAY!

One problem... I tried to fill out a member form but there is no English option so I don't have a hope. Also, I'm not sure they will even ship international.
I might have to wait to get them from ebay or playasia if they get em'.
If anyone finds a way for 'us foreign devils' to buy them, please let the rest of us know.

Thing is, DR will inevitably lose much of its "charm" if you will. Two years ago, the the particles, dismemberment, and the sheer number of zombies on screen was something to marvel at. Given how the engine has evolved, and RE5's current state, I'd imagine that RE5 on the Wii will resemble a souped up RE5 more than anything else.

Although I'd expect weapon swapping to be kept at minimal. DMC3 on the PS2 had that with a limit of 3 melee and firearms.

I don't expect to ever see a version of RE5 on Wii, to be honest. Frankly, I am surprised at the Dead Rising port, though I am ecstatic to finally play the game that almost made me go out and get a 360. I guess it's not impossible, but I just see Capcom not wasting the resources to downgrade such a title. I think they'll still reach their sales goal anyways, with RE5, as numerous people nowadays have more than 1 console.

I have a Wii, but am buying a PS3 to play RE5. (It helps that it is also a Blu-Ray player, since I really don't play any video games that aren't associated with RE.)

But for those of you, with only a Wii, eagerly awaiting a chance to someday play RE5 - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Because it is common knowledge that they recycle these to save time and money. Hiring composers for each new game is costly, wastes time and gives the series a much less scary setting. When you take the time to get it done right, people may not like that some of the more noticeable bits are missing. :)

In the New PS3 gameplay video You can see the "inventory full" icon and that the currency picked up by Chris is the Nigerian Nairas "₦".

Nigeria is the only country to use this denomination, it is located in West Africa which is where Sheva's BSAA branch is located and it is on the coast which is necessary for the "saltwater cave" location we saw in one of the earlier trailers.

Here's the new trailer from Leipzig.

It's basically the three different versions of the E3 trailer re-edited into one with a few extra new scenes for good measure. It does, however, finally show the blonde girl again, albeit briefly.

Kawata says it really is a horror game and it has quite a good storyline..
Co-op some how increases the level of horror.
At one point you will be fighting in the dark, and one character will have to carry a torch while the other one shoots.
They are planning on creating a video montage of game play footage where they will compile the ways the two partners interact.
The game will make you scared, cry, and laugh.
The first half will be more of an action game and the second half more horror.

Thanks to Anders tip I just went and bought the Famitsu wave with Biohazard 5 featured.

There's 2 pages in the magazine.
The DVD comes with 2 discs. One with Chris, and one with Sheeva. the Biohazard 5 content is on Disc 1 (Chris).

I don't know if there are new screens. They don't reveal anything really interesting that hasn't been seen before.

The DVD has a trailer, with the woman in white, and a syringe. This is intercut with the lady in black jumps down into a boat, and then the boat taking off.
Towards the end of the first part, there is also some shots of the 'leech' '3.5 fog' type monster.
This is old right? There isn't anything else new in the trailer.

One worrying problem is that the game still feels a little awkward, not learning as much from Uncharted's excellent third-person action-adventuring as we'd hope. It lacks the smoothness of its peers, and while the cover-system is present, it better be slickened up a fair bit before release to compete with Vegas 2 and Uncharted. This also very much 'feels' like Resident Evil 4 - the same over-the-shoulder camera, the same slightly wonky animations, the same godawful voice-acting and over-drama.

The good news is that RE5 seems to have a cover system, the bad news is that they described it as clunky compared Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 and Uncharted.... :(

» RE5 has more action, horror and generally “more” of everything than RE4;
» Umbrella Corporation no longer exists but there are several other organizations committing acts of bioterrorism, and similarly there are others, like the BSAA, seeking to combat these actions;
» replying to the question about the tombstone of Jill Valentine, Kawata says that in all the trailer of RE5 who issued so far they inserted at the end a short frame that could shake or leave impressed fans of the series. All these elements are very important aspects of the plot, and therefore so is the tomb of Jill (not her death?);
» Capcom chosen as platforms both Xbox 360 and PS3 because they are the most proper consoles for the new gaming experience that RE5 is going to offers, they have a valid online component for the online co-op experience and the best graphics quality thanks to the high definition;
» horror will be very present, but violent scenes will be scary and not disgusting or splatter.
Kawata takes as example the scenes that shows the Executioner killing a guy in the trailer, his cutted head hasn’t been shown but we can se only the bloody ax, the video leaves to imagine what happened after seeing the bloody ax but doesn’t show a bloody head flying. Capcom thinks horror and splatter are two totally different elements, not necessary an horror games must have splatter scenes, they think atmospheres and the power of the immagination are better than gore and bloody scenes.
» the public who tried the demo at the TGS loved the introduction of the new optional controls scheme called “Action”;
» Kawata said that RE series, with RE5, reached a certain conclusion of the series, and from this point of view he believe that it will be a title very important. I played this on the show floor, and man, it felt just like Resident Evil 4 with much shinier graphics. Then I played it two-player co-op. The rule is that everything is better with a friend, and shinier Resident Evil 4 with a friend is better than probably anything released since, uhh, Resident Evil 4. If the trailer is any indication, the story will be trashy nonsense, and I certainly won't care about any of the characters or be surprised by any plot developments. Also, the voice-acting sounds completely awful, with weird over-accentuations and stilted delivery. If this is a "throwback" to the way games "used to be", I can only sigh. If it's unintentional, I cannot apologize: with all the money they're spending on the graphics, you figure they'd budget more than $5,000 total for voice acting and script writing. If the dialogue were just a tiny bit snappier . . . ahh, I won't even bother. It's trying to be a big dumb B-movie of a game, and it's succeeding, which I suppose is a lot more applaudable than trying to be literature and ending up Metal Gear Solid 4.Hardly the biggest shock in the world that RE5's stolen the show really. If that's what next year has to offer though, seems like a pretty slow year!

I have to say, the antagonist of the film sounds interesting. It's about time we had a villain you could sympathise with. He reminds me of what Dario Rosso could have become if he had survived. The man lost his family during the Raccoon City incident, so now he's using terrorism to force the U.S. government into revealing the truth behind what happened. I guess this means that the Outbreak endings were canon, about the incident being covered up as an environmental disaster.

The U.S. government must have done a good job at keeping a lid on affairs, especially with the scattering of survivors that managed to make it through. Might this also be a reason why they recruited Leon? Afterall, he was one person who survived and knew the truth about what happened, so wouldn't it be beneficial to keep him under their control?

Raccoon City changed a lot of people's lives.

The producer of Resident Evil 5 has claimed that "even the title screen of this couldn't have been done on PS2 or Wii", apparently ending any hopes of a Wii version in the future.

Mind you, Shinji Mikami said the same thing about there being a PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 – and who would've imagined a Wii version of Dead Rising?

Still, as official lines go, this seems pretty definitive at the moment.
