  • I need help!

Okay guys, I need a little help. I'm not exactly a wiz-kid when it comes to gaming systems but I knew you guys would probably know something to help me.

Alright, I bought Resident Evil for my PS2 the other day and when I put it in it started messing up. Like, it will jump a lot and when it does the screen will split green. I've switched it to different TVs and actually got a different RE4 game. So I know it's neither of those.

I'm going to go try and buy some cleaner for my PS2 to see if that's the problem. If you guys would know what would be the problem then pleeeease let me know. It hasn't done this until now with this game.

    Thanks.

A solution that has worked for my PS2 is rather crude but simple... Take 4 inch long pieces of scotch tape (the clear kind you'd use for wraping gifts) and arrange them in a box just outside of the hole in the middle.

The hole in the middle of CD holder?

Doh' I forgot to include the most important part... Its done to the CD. Supposedly it stabilizes the disc around the middle so it reads better. I got the idea after reading this PS2 Hardware FAQ: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/f...ad_error_a.txt

( http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/915821.html if the link doesn't work above; "Disc Read Error FAQ" by LordAtomic, section 4.4)

I'm definitely going to try that then.
