Uh, I saw plenty of blood when Kang holds up his fist after it being removed from Shang Tsung's body (thats Tsung, not Kano btw).

I bought MK unchained at 10 bucks out of curiosity, and hell, what is this game? It seems to be all about silly stances, combos and walking around your ennemy... Actually I haven't even figured out to grapple or freeze an ennemy, if it's even possible...

What kind of lame gameplay, seriously. It doesn't feel like MK at all, when you look at the brutal and fast gameplay of UMK3 in comparison.

Idk if I'm gonna buy it from wal-mart. I'll probably just end up buying the code off ebay. I already pre-ordered from Amazon and Gamestop for the Reptile and Scorpion skins. I'm getting the movies for the Jade skin (and I like the first movie). Mileena is my second favorite character (1. Scorpion, 2. Mileena 3. Noob Saibot 4.Kabal 5.Ermac)
but I just don't want to spend $300+ on one game just for a skin.

That was my first though NMD, so to get all the skins I have to buy a copy for the ps3 (Kratos) now from amazon and gamestop (Reptile and Scorpion) and wal-mart for Mileena. What's next? How much do they expect people to spend on this game to get everything that should come with it? All of this, minus the console exclusive stuff (I wouldn't expect Kratos on an Xbox) should be unlock able or available for DLC for both consoles. I'm going to buy the game, but for fucks sake when will it end? I don't mind a few things about store specific add ons but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Holy shit, that mode is pure ownage times 10. The "Orange You Glad" mode reminds me immediately of Castlevania:LoS.
and the fight with Pan and the Devil where you have to switch using Light and Dark magic as the opponent does

I played MvC3 over at a friends house, I played 2 matches and I was done. I don't care for that style of fighting. I'll take my gory and fun MK please.

I honestly think the klassic outfits look great. And with up to 4 fatalites for every character (5 I guess for the klassic fatality) this is going to have a lot of replay value. Over 300 game modes and a story line AND a tournament ladder. I'll be having fun with this with friends for quiet some time.

I saw the interview last night. I like the Mileena cake, it looks...mmmm. I'd eat that up...

Sonya looks okay to me. I was never a fan of hers. The only female characters I like are Mileena and Jade.

Baraka looks awesome, almost the exact same costume as his MK2 outfit.
I was thinking today, a great but simple fatality for Baraka would be to cut off your arms and then just stab you straight in the face. Nice and simple.

Noob's full X-Ray is awesome, I love how he just walks up and punches you straight in the face and breaks you face. Greatness.

If you let the Truck Tour demo stand for too long a video plays showing new stuff (probably the video that you will get with the PSN demo)

- Living Forest Stage Fatality: tree eats you up.
- Bridge/City Stage Fatality where the character falls facefirst on the road and a taxi smashes into their face. This had an X-Ray effect, however, so I don't know if it's an actual stage fatality.
- Jade Fatality involves throwing her razorrang and beheading the victim.
- Sindel's Fatality involves screaming into victim's ear until the head explodes.
- Stage Fatality where the head is dunked into lava. Victim screams as his face melts, skull is left.
- Baraka's X-Ray involves blades through eyes.
- Sindel's X-Ray involves the thigh bone lol (sorry, just a glimpse)
- Stryker's Fatality: throws a grenade, pompously walks away, and is then splashed in gore as he faces the screen.
- Baraka's Fatality involves slicing off the arms.
- Jade's X-Ray involves jamming her staff into the opponent's back.
- Sindel breaks the leg bone with her elbow.
- Stryker's X-Ray involves smashing his baton into the side of the opponent's face.
- Baraka's intro: sharpens his blades against each other.
- Jade's throw, uses her staff to sling them to the other side.
- Lava leaks from skull's eyes during aforementioned stage fatality.

The inclusion of Quan Chi and "Cyber" Sub-Zero makes me a little worried about the final roster. If there really will be only 26 selectable characters, and 22 are now confirmed, then that means there are only 4 slots left now.

I'm sure Mortal Kombat will outdo MvC3 both offline and online. It's already been revealed that there's gonna be alot to do offline, with a story mode, 300 mission challenge tower, the Krypt, and on top of that MK is notorious for it's hidden secrets. That there is already better than MvC3 IMO.

Online mode has been confirmed, so for me, that's all I really need to know. I don't really care if the online is over the top because what matters most to me is the quality of the game offline, and so far it's been lookin pretty sweet.

Don't know if anyone knows this, but the MK demo was hacked and just about the whole game was leaked....from the entire character roster, to story mode, and almost every other unlockable.

It's pretty sad actually that NetherRealm released their demo with a file basically containing the whole game, all that hard work spoiled in one day.

There's also the fact that you've got a lot of players out there who will, to use one of your own words here, "butterdick" you with Sentinel's down+heavy beam laser, plus a lot of the characters are broken. Amaterasu's broken, just press circle over and over for instant combo, I've even seen professional Amaterasu players use this method. Completely broken. Dante is pretty overpowered, and I've heard that X-23 is somewhat broken too.

The reason I didn't want to get MvC3 is because I don't want to pay $100 for the same old crap from Crapcom with the DLC and the lazy recolours from what I've seen... I mean, if I bought it now, there will probably be another scenario like RE5 the Gold Edition release in a few months.

That's why I didn't bother paying attention to MvC3 in contrast to MK - to which I was glad to see they were correcting changes that had occurred over time.

That's what I'm irritated about, that and the factor that the groups behind a lot of the nanny-state issues have been trying to get MK banned for 18 years. I grew up playing it, but you haven't seen me go on a killing spree unlike what they keep saying despite the studies that disproved the general belief of association with games causes an increase in violent tendencies which is the usual crap they spout. I know some of the politicians and have seen them active in Parliament House - all they do is behave like children on a playground all having a fucking tantrum.

Huh? KE still priced at £50 and my amazon order is £36, thought I see to make a new order is close to £38 now, still £12 less.

Well, I tried the demo and I think from a graphical standpoint it looks superb. Love the effects of Sub-Zero's ice attacks, especially where he stabs a sword through their chest and breaks it off. Doesn't seem as sluggish as previous MK titles I played, I'm looking at you Deadly Alliance. Not my kind of game, but I hope it fares well, it'll be nice to see a decent MK game out there and hopefully this is the reboot that'll revive the franchise.

I played the demo and I'm glad to see that it plays just as quickly and fluidly as MK1-3. Nobody moves around like they're carrying weights anymore.

I'm with CR29 in some ways though; I wasn't at all disappointed with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (of course, it could definitely use a few things, but I got what I wanted), but nonetheless I've had my fill of fighters for now. I'm probably going to start buying cheaper DS games and save up for LA Noire, Catherine, and RE: Mercs 3D, among others.

Yeah my tipsy rant on the prices and practices, I wanted to delete it later when I realised all the typos and such, but I got the point across.

I also bought Jill so maybe a bit hypocritical. I didn't buy Shuma though, I would have if very cheap like PAIN character price.

Played the demo tonight at the request of nemesiswontdie...I actually quite enjoyed the fatalities and the really cool x-ray attacks, and the graphics were very, very good. Mileena had some nice digital boob physics going on, so much so to where I unhealthily found myself constantly shifting her stance, lol.

However I found the combat (kombat?) to be very clunky, and too slow for my liking. Certainly not close to the speed of MvC2/3, or even SSF4. To me, those titles feel more fluid. I've been told the demo may not be the final build...but still, the demo didn't convince me that I needed to buy this game day 1 (or even at all).

I hope it does well though, as it appears that the developers have put a lot of love into the title. Unfortunately for me, this title, like the few other MK titles I have played - aren't fun beyond a few matches here & there.

Wow, that's quite funny. Upon looking at the character select screen for the demo, it already listed 2 "DLC" character slots at the bottom of the screen. Capcom is surely guilty of really abusing the DLC approach, but you can't act all high & mighty like the other companies aren't almost all doing the exact same thing.

And while MvC3 & SSF4 don't have a wealth of modes, they are well-crafted, finely tuned fighting games that are all about the core experience - which involves the "fighting" of the matches. And despite Capcom half-assing it with material beyond that core experience, I'm almost entirely sure that they'll be moving a LOT more boxes off the shelf than MK. So your high-horse stance that they should learn a lesson is probably not going to happen.

Story modes, alt costumes, survival modes, times attacks, usually some sort of challenge mode (not just combo trials) etc etc are standards of nearly all fighters these days.

DLC isn't so bad when the base product is actually fleshed out, it then adds to the game. Far different to Capcom releasing the a bare skeleton of a game then charging extra for all the parts that are missing.

I said SF4 and that game had lots of game modes like survival, time attack, trial, challenge. However SSF4 had to ditch all of that because it added other content like 10 new characters, spectator mode. I have to agree with you about the costumes and the story mode in SF is executed in a different way.

Ah, I forgot about the LBP2 CE. Yeah, in that case I suppose there's every chance they could be PSN avatars. Also I agree with the previous two posts, Home is pretty useless. Whenever I log in all I see are people flirting with each other and buying crap, it's become more of a sleazy dating community than anything of any merit.

That said, it is better than it used to be. There's a lot more to do. However, I reckon it'll be a success for Sony because of how much money they're making with virtual items and advertising. Definitely not geared towards the hardcore gamer, which is fine I suppose.
