Found over at Next-Gen, in Tim Rogers "This Week in Japan" feature, it appears that the recently released Wii edition of Biohazard 4 (Resident Evil 4) comes with an added bonus:

a great portion of the blood and gore has been excised from the game. Headshots no longer kill, limbs can no longer be shot off.

As as Nintendo fan, I'm not surprised, but quite pissed off. Let's hope this isn't done in the North American release.

Wait, Limbs could be shot off? News to me... Headshots can no longer kill? Er....It depends on how many times you shoot them. Sounds like an uninformed person if you ask me.

Hopefully these censored things are only because the Japanese version was censored.

Though as far as I know, detachable limbs were never in any of the original versions of the game.

marvelharvey was right. The portion when we control Ashley has the old RE camera angles. We don't control Ashley from a behind-viewpoint this time (cue innuendo).

That was always like that in the Japanese version. They removed it for the English release.

Not sure but I read game book that Bio4 (Wii) strategy has been printed.
