wow the topic creator read my mind, i was about to make a similar topic, just finished Defiance for the first time yesterday, a very fitting end for the LoK series if you ask me, hope they dont f*ck it up by making more sequels.

they're both equally good imo, raziel is the heroic type while kain is the anti-hero one ...

personally i like raziel's character better, and not to mention he totally beat kaun in avernus cathedral ..

I remember both clearly. Kain was the RPG-like one and Soul Reaver was 3D platform right? I never played Kain but I wanted to as I liked RPGs but never had many at the time. Soul Reaver was OK from what I played of the demo, not really something I would buy as Omega has said.

but you have to play it to the end, LoK series is best at its story telling, you can't judge that from a demo.

Was that the demo where you had to climb up a leaning tower?
That was one of the cut out maps from the final game, I think it was meant to be Dark Eden or somewhere *I haven't checked Lost Worlds out in yonks so i'll have to double check that one*

Yeah, it was. And there was a creature on a ledge on the way up. Actually I thin I have the game somewhere. I seem to remember impaling something and throwing it off a cliff, not sure. I don't think that was the demo.

Nah, don't have a Paypal. Besides, I don't play games too much any more. If the re-release it on PSP though, that would probably be the medium I'd play it on.

Money orders, cheques and concealed cash on ebay = 90% of the time are considered to be retarded ways of payment because its so easy to be ripped off, especially with videogame merchandise and consoles.

Paypal, I only bid/sell to people using Paypal, so in case you do get burned they'll sort the transaction out.

I avoided an ebayer who tried to sell me a PSP but only would take cheques, turns out even though I got negative feedback from him cause I flipflopped on the deal he conned 20 other people by doing the same thing * a wholesale transaction * and Police are now involved, also he used a fake address etc so the cheques would have been cashed and refunds through the bank would have been impossible.

i don't have a bank account, i can't use paypal :( (reason i don't have a bank account is because if i did the financial aid i get from the govt for my tuition would look at that and give me less money)

Have your mother open one and get you on it as well, then you can cash your checks into it and not have to worry about that.

Yeah I can understand that, I mainly use it for picking up retro stuff like Dreamcast games etc, VMU's and Vibration units for 99p = Bargain.

As long as that bank account gives you a card which suits their criteria.
Usually Visa/Switch etc.
Then you can open an account, it costs a dollar to verify the validity of your account but thats it.

I can only use whats in my account and overdraft, dunno how it works in the US.

But depending on your bank in America you are entitled to a Debit Card to withdraw cash from ATM machines etc.
That account number/card number would be elligible for registration via Paypal.

i started playing LOK defiance today :D i'm up to the part with raziel when the mist is rising up to get him. i don't know why but anytime i play with raz i always have a harder time than i do with kain, i admire him more as a character though he's valiant :P

Also defience rocks, cuz you switch between the two. Didnt play SR2. How is it?

sr2 isn't bad my favorite has to be defiance though, i just got right into it.

I kind of find the fact you liked Blood Omen 2 interesting, I did aswell but alot of people disagree, It does kind of make you weep when you think about what it should have been had they kept the MGS/Stealth aspects in the game, but it was a good game nonetheless.

The bloody stealth kills were the things i liked most in that game. Plus the skills you got during the game. Figthing system was simple but pretty good looking.
About SR2...i started to play it a couple of times, but i always got bored because of the constant running from a place to another...its the only LOK game in the series i never finished...

Something about playing SR2 never set down well with me, it was a good game but the engine felt a little weak and toned down next to SR1, its too bad the Treetop levels were cut as well.

for me SR 1 was hard as soon as mobeus changed time, all these harder monsters started coming out :( so i left it. maybe it's just that i have a better time playing with kain than with Raziel, kain's just easier for me

Yeah, well, when SR1 come out games were different. They weren't made for anyone to finish them. This is why LOK2 was much easier.
Hehe, seem to be one of the few that beat SR1 back then... :D

Finished it in one sitting myself, granted it was a 9-10 hour sitting (God I miss having that much time to spend on a game now)

Oh, yeah, tell me about it.
If I would play it now (SR1), it might take weeks to finish it, or most likely I would quit playing. Every day I'm more like a casual gamer than a hardcore one.
I used to beat everything at some game i liked, every difficulty mode, every extra mode, everything...Now i barely beat a game..Heck, wasnt able to beat RE4 on hard...and I love that game.

Go into the spectral realm....don't remember the buttons...there is some symbol you can choose...play with the buttons a bit and you'll find it, or go to the controls option, you might find out what is the button that sends you to the spectral realm.

Access Raziel's submenu and choose to go to the spectral realm, *he can discard his material form at any time*, when in spectral form, run against the bars and hold the analogue stick in that direction until raziel pushes off against them, he'll force himself through the Bars *as per his ability to do so from SR1*
