Those who're on Xbox LIVE are probably no strangers to the Deals of the Week (previously singular).

This week, it seems like Capcom and/or Microsoft wants to follow up last week's zombie feast Dead Rising 2: Case Zero with a discount on the various Resident Evil 5 add-on packs.

Untold Stories Bundle - 560 MS Points
Desperate Escape - 240 MS Points
Lost in Nightmares - 240 MS Points
Versus Mode - 240 MS Point

Personally, I'll be grabbing the Untold Stories bundle myself, as it'll enable me to delete the two others and save a little bit of HDD space by not having to have multiple copies of the Mercenaries Reunion data on my drive!

Anyway, beware, before you jump in! Europe's at least currently set to get a reprint (or rather their first print, it seems) of Resident Evil 5 - Gold Edition this month, I know the US is set to get a similar thing for the PS3 version, but not sure about the 360 one. The PS3 version is shipping the 17th of September, to tie in with the release of PlayStation Move (Update Patch incoming on PSN for previous Gold Edition owners, I suppose), while the 360 one is dropping in just a few days (10th of September), to just... well... to fill in shelf space, I guess. The suggested retail price of both is £19.99 in the UK, at least, but several online stores appears to have them up for pre-order for as low as £12.99. Might worth considering before you decide whether or not to bite on any evt. deals.

Keiji Inafune has been talking a bunch recently and along with his recent comments on the possible announcement of Resident Evil 6 soon, he told 3DJuegos that they are going to give the next DMC game a "western touch" to attract customers from the western markets, mainly the US and UK. On Dead Rising Inafune made a rather bold comment about the goal being to make Dead Rising Capcom's leading IP in Resident Evil's place. He went on to say that the future of the franchise and it's spin off's will depend on Dead Rising 2's sales.
No word on whether this delay applies to the other territories as well but we'll update as soon as some official confirmation is revealed. The reason for delay was given as inappropriate content in a trial version of the game, or something along those lines. No revised release date has been announced so far.

Remember the other Resident Evil movie project we mentioned a while back?

Well, it's more news time! Jerome's been busy, that's for sure. If you're still wondering who Jerome is and didn't read up on the previous newspost, he's better known as imacwesker here on the boards, and also simply just as Wesker - the former webmaster of survivhor*
(PS: update your bookmarks, survivhor.com is no longer operational and is now archived at survivhor.biohazardfrance.net.)

Starting this weekend, there'll every second week be a new "Behind the Scenes" feature for the Resident Evil 1.5 "movie trailer" project, giving you an insight in the production of this astonishing project possibly only made reality through the hard work and dedication of longtime franchise fans. These behind the scenes features will give you a little bit of insight and preview teasing for things such as costumes, actors, characters, locations, production stills, you name it - lots of goodies for those who enjoy following the production of how something like this comes together.

Also, in other related news, Patient Zero, their short film movie project, has now wrapped up and is ready to move into post-production. Exciting!

Additionally, the Resident Evil 1.5 movie trailer is currently set to be translated into a multitude of languages, and for every news update there seems to be more and more languages added to the list. We here at THIA are proud to say that we've offered to lend our Norwegian talent (yours truly) to give it the Norwegian translation treatment, bringing the current list of supported languages (in addition to English) up to seven!

The following languages are currently planned English, French, Spanish, Danish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Hungarian, and Italian. However, if you're fluent in a language not already listed/claimed, have previous translation experience and a proven talent for fluency and any eventual translation customs for your country/culture, and on top of that don't mind lending a moment of your time (free of charge), I propose that you try to get in touch with Jerome and offer your services. The more the merrier. :)

You can follow the production of both the Resident Evil 1.5 movie trailer and the short film Patient Zero on REFanFilms.com, but if you're a facebook and/or twitter user, you may also want to hit up that "Like" button on the project's Facebook page and/or follow @refanfilms on twitter for a direct feed of both minor and major updates, and you may also want to leave comments on their production blog. Additionally, if you want to support the movie project even further, you may want to considering donating to the project via PayPal (Keep in mind: Donations aren't unrewarded, and certainly don't go unnoticed!)

There's also an interview with Paul Anderson over at Fangoria, who seems to have confirmed that the Majini in this movie is actually the mutated and evolved version of the T-virus zombies.

Capcom Europe just kindly revealed that the release schedule for Dead Rising 2 in Europe and Australia (aka. PAL LAND) has now been pushed forward to Friday the 24th of September. Yup! That's like half-a-week before the US and JP release, which is still set for the 28th of September in those regions. Guess it's not always so bad to be European.

Additionally, episode 4 and 5 of Zombrex: Dead Rising Sun is now available on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and various other streaming sites out there, including Capcom's own site for the movie, which you may find at: www.deadrisingsun.com. Episodes are still only up to 3 on that site, but I guess it'll be playing catch up soon enough.

And, oh, almost forgot! Have some Marketplace links:
These film prop replicas are available for pre-orders now from the Hollywood Collectible Group website and will be released sometime early next year. Only 750 are being made, which is reflected in the hefty price of $199.95, but you never know when you'll need to break them open!
Note: anti-virus vials will not work if you exist in the Dead Rising universe.
For the first time ever an officially licensed T-Virus and Anti-Virus from Resident evil are available!

Each vial measures just over 5” long and is an accurate replica of this quintessential Resident Evil prop. Constructed from aluminum and Plexiglas, each vial has internal LED’s so that they can be independently illuminated.

They come complete with an Umbrella Corporation themed display base.

A must for any Resident Evil fan!
