Although I really liked Rachel Weisz as Evie, I'm kinda happy to see Maria Bello being in the film. She's a really good actress I think and to be honest I can't see her playing a less strong role than she usually does.

As for the movie itself, I'm really disappointed Arnold Vosloo won't be returning as Imhotep, and instead they've taken the Asian route. It's weird, almost all fantasy films do it at some point (At Worlds End is another example I can think of).

May see this as a popcorn flick with mates but not gonna go out of my way to do so.

Uwe Boll completely ruined the first House Of The Dead movie. It had so much potential until that goddamn asshole came along with his ugly face and directed it. What a fag. I mean, come on, what the hell was he thinking, putting those game clips into random bits of the movie? What a dickhead.

And imhotep defined 'the mummy' in the first two. Seems kinda awkward to just suddenly shift to a new guy...

Theres a new mummy movie coming out, but it wont have the traditional imotep in it though, its a new mummy and the Evie has be recast and the son is all grown up in this one
