I would really like them to remake the first to Metal Gear games. And not that crappy snake's revenge. I was able to read both of the plots for the game but think playing those games would make for a great experience.

My favorite Pokemon games are Blue and Gold, so a G/S remake would make me super-happy. Pokemon rocks!
Oh, and remake the Fire Emblem games that we never got in the US, like they did with Shadow Dragon. Fire Emblem is good.
Also, the Night of the Living Dead remake was incredible.
Dawn of the Dead wasn't so much a remake as it was... just a different movie altogether. Still good though.
Day of the Dead remake... good God. I was sure Uwe Boll directed it when I watched it...

The 1988 The Blob remake surpassed the original 1958 film in many ways. It's still one of my favorite horror movies to this day.
I also share the sentiments of a G/S remake. Going back, Johto wasn't as great as I remember and Kanto was pretty bad compared to R/B. Remaking G/S would allow a great expansion on the regions and let them be what they always should have been back in G/S.

I enjoy the recent games, but I found Diamond/Pearl difficult to get into. My favourite's are FireRed and Gold/Silver. Remaking G/S is just great and it'll be brilliant to get to visit Kanto on the DS and see all of the old school pokemon again. I'm a big fan of the original games.

Totodile ftw.

I think hollywood is running out of ideas because if a movie is good then why remake it? (O right easy money) If it blows than just forget about it and leave it be. The only movie that was remade that I liked was Scarface. I'm a fan of both movies and the remake was able to bring the movie into a new generation and also saying with the same theme.

Don't fix what isn't broken.

Yeah it's true a lot of people can take vague news stories and turn them into these detailed serial killer accounts. If you read "liked to use bones as furniture, wear skin, etc etc" about a killer you could make a movie like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and say that it's based on a true story, which would sort of be correct. Norman Bates from Psycho was also kind of based on Ed Gein, and so was Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs (along with Ted Bundy and others).Last edited by GuardhouseMusic; 05-10-2009, 07:56 AM.

and thus the idea of TCM was born.
dont believe me, do your research.

The Invasion of the Body Snatchers is another good remake (1978 version). Really bleak movie, from beginning to end. I don't like watching it because it's so depressing.
Remakes that have come around lately are mostly crap to average. Halloween was crap, Friday the 13th was average, Texas Chainsaw Massacre was average, Black Christmas was crap. I cannot believe they're remaking Suspiria. While I don't like the film as much as most people (I think Deep Red is much better), I can't see how you can remake a specific style. The film will be horrible any way you look at it. It would be like if Stephen King wanted to readapt The Shining because he didn't like Stanley Kubrick's-oh wait.
