Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to go to Japan and attain RE 1.5 80% build..

How many days will it take till we get our hands on the 80% build...........the world may never know.

When I told my friend the rarity of Zero-64, he was shocked and didn't even know that Zero for 64 was a cancelled game. He knew of Zero on the Cube, but always had assumed it was a remake of the 64 version. I'm not sure how a cartridge version of it could exist apart from being some sort of press only release, maybe it was a hacked homebrew cartridge?
Also, a guy I met at E3 some years back was going to mail me "RE 1.5" for free. He too didn't know the value and rarity of it but when he described the game it sounded exactly as if he were describing 1.5. The guy was in his 40's and had been going to E3 since it first began, so I truly believe he might've obtained a copy of 1.5. He said it "played like RE2 with the same character, but all of the locations were different" in his own words. He also said it was a rare "press only" copy. He gave me his info and site URL and promised to mail it to me, but when I emailed him he didn't respond. One weird thing he told me though is that it was for the PC and only worked on PC (possibly he meant emulator?). He could've been talking about the Biohazard Trial, which to my knowledge contained footage of 1.5? Either way, that would've been a nice rare steal as I seem to recall Biohazard Trial Edition being pretty rare and valuable as well.

Before the Playstation Museum incident back in late 2007, was it even known that there was a 40% build of 1.5?
I only remember, besides the alpha, the 80% build that Inflames (Kim) had received many pictures of, from a source who had the build, as early as 1999 (I think?).

I'm positive some people on the RE community might already have the 80%, the 20% Grant Bitman build even, and all the other rare RE betas. Raise your hand if you remember when Dot50Cal posted his Resident Evil collection, seeing all those blacked out and censored discs? Not to mention, wasn't it Darkmoon who confessed to already owning the 40% long before it leaked?
These betas aren't as rare as people seem to think, if they were, their values would be equivalent to stuff like NES World Championships, which are far more common in people's collections.
Call it paranoia, but I'm certain most "rare betas" are already among a few of us RE fans. I don't even think going to Japan would even be a requirement. I wouldn't at all be surprised if it's sitting in some American pawn shop somewhere collecting dust with a price tag of $20 bucks, mislabeled as a Resident Evil 2 demo.Last edited by VirusPunk; 04-03-2015, 07:30 PM.

And as if that's not enough, there's plenty of pure vanilla to be had too! By the truckload, in fact!

And to think someone probably paid like ten thou worth of today's money for that thing!
Man! Even crates!

Everyone sells this stuff ... clearly, it's a conspiracy! Don't believe me? Look! Even WALKER is written on these magazines!

Japan? More like Nippon 1.5!Last edited by Lead belly; 04-01-2015, 03:53 PM.

So it looks like the 40% build got around a ton and was bound to leak at some point. Seems the 80% build however very given out very limitedly and pherhaps only a handful of people have seen or touched it outside of Capcom.
