Ohh yea I have seen them at the bowling ally. They are only arcade games tho right?

They look really fun. I love how the zombies use weapons.

If you were playing RE 1 for the first time, would you recommend the first one or the remake? Do they stick to the story in the remake? I watched the starting of both. I know the acting and dialoge is quite amusing in number one, and the remake starting cutscene looks quite cool (if not a bit metal gear solid twin snakes).

    Sorry for being a noob.

Also can someone confirm if we have missed more than just the true story of biohazard here in english speaking countrys?

Its werid. I played doom 3, I didn't get far as I hired it out. I got up to these levels that all had directions in there names (like west etc) and Its really not that far into the game. I was quite enjoying it and I could play. I did hear that there were jump scares so I donno if I got as far as I could before getting to a scare bit. And also at someones house I watched them play alone in the dark 3. or 4. I'm not sure which number. Its the one where you parachute down onto or near the house.

I seem to be ok kinda in horror games without jump scares or exsisive gore or screaming or werid twitching nurses.

Also, is number 5 the last RE? number 6 won't be RE is space will it?

Ohh and something else I wanted to know. I heard horror movies are basicly porn with added scares and gore. There is no sexual things in RE right? and no hooker zombies like in dead rising? I just want to know because I think that ruins the hole thing.

Do you know of any games that are creepy but really.. tame?? Mabey if I eased my way in?

Sorry for being such a wuss....

    :cupps face in hands: uhhhhg.

ok. The "horror Porn" is generally in horror movies from the 60's-80's , current toture movies like saw, and scifi-channel B-movies,

I don't know any horror game that has sex except Pyramid head raping a monster in SH2.

there are a few racy zombies in dead rising but it's really mild (no full nudity)

Hopefully the Resident Evil games will last for ever.

I'd like to add that some fun games to play are the house of the dead games.
Not as scary but lots of zombie kill'in

Because in cutscenes they can make it really scarey by shoving it in your face, but if its gameplay your viewing from further away or you can just not look at all.

I really don't know how much scare I can take is the thing. Today I found this old demo of silent hill 1. It starts in some kiddies school. I played for quite a while, and I got to the demons world and couldn't fiqure out what the ball does.

Can someone tell me the scare level of that part I just played?
I mean how scared was I ment to be?

you go to the roof and put the ball in a hole.

    Random, huh?
But thats how I think it's done.

Resident Evil 2, Crows popping out the glass as you run by scared the hell out of me...yea you become numb to the scaryness after a while like I had said in my post above, and no I dont mean seeing people die in real life, a lot of people havent seen that...Im just saying having the mind set of whats fake and whats real is what im saying, if you know its fake, it shouldnt be scary even though its intense and does scare ya, you can walk away knowing its fake. ;)

So your saying the only way to make resident evil not scarey is to get scared by them until your numb of the scaredniss?

    That would be hard
Can you give me an example of a cheap scare without spoiling too much??

Sometimes for newcomers the Resident Evil games are scary because they are nerve racking. Heres a senario from Resident Evil 2.
You are low on health, have no herbs or first aid sprays, have only 10 handgun bullets. You enter a hallway with 4 or 5 zombies and have to try and dodge them as you make your way to the other side.

Sometimes there is a cheap scare everyonce and awhile. But the games get really scary (especially the later games) when you turn the lights off and are all alone playing them. The atmosphere in the later games can be terrifying when you get absorbed in them.

(at least thats how I look at them)

The scariest game for me Is the REmake followed by RE4, but 7 years ago the scariest one was RE2.

RE has helped me beat my fears. Now when I get scared, It's fun.
