That's not what Resident Evil is about. At least not to me. Not by a long run.

And it's not as if I'm defending Salazar.

    EDIT:
You know, considering all of Leon's cheesy one liners, and Salazar's outfit and stature, I'm surprised that when you defeat Salazar, Leon doesn't call him "Napoleon BlownApart"
I don't see anything "over-the-top" about the Mystery Woman. SHe's wearing a cloak and a mask. The mask stands out a bit, but other than that - she's completely garbed in black.

I laughed at your "Napoleon Blown Apart" joke. Which means it is too funny for Leon to utter. His "jokes" only induce groans.

The scariest thing of all...look at your THIA ranking...look at that little guy...

What's wrong with her attire? She's wearing a mask and a cloak. How is that so godawful?

I mean, the mask is not awesome, but it's not ridiculous either. What would you prefer, a rubber William Shatner mask bleached white?

Her outfit is worn to conceal her identity, which it does except for her barely visible bottom third of her face.

I mean, it's not so freaking gaudy that it's the clothing of a prancing happy troll named Salazar in RE4.

Yeah, but she could wear something that looks a little less... "Phantom of the Opera"

She's wearing a mask for a reason. She wouldn't be wearing a mask for the fuck of it.

Yea, but the fact that it's an actual description of a character... I mean, it's like, you see footage of RE2, and you might say, "That scientist woman", or "That eye creature"

But forget the name, her outfit is still ridiculous. Bird mask in Resident Evil... Not fitting at all.

'Birdwoman' is the name given to her by people on message boards because she wears a mask in the shape of a bird's face and beak. That's all. Do you honestly think she'll be referred to as 'Birdwoman' in-game? And don't say "I don't care because I'm not playing RE5,", just answer my question.

She actually doesn't have a name. Officially, she is "Mystery Woman." Birdwoman is a messageboarder's moniker for her.

And Marcus in his white robes is freaking stupid. That AND his opera singing. Ugh.

Yeah, Marcus' attire was something beyond awful.
But since I'm done with the series, I don't have to worry about future installments.
You still have Birdwoman to contend with. I still can't believe that someone in Resident Evil is being referred to as 'birdwoman'. Sounds like someone from DC comics.

Maybe, maybe not. I played it a long time ago; I just remember not wanting to play it again after beating it. Nor did I even have the slightest iota of desire to play any sequels. And, as I said, my non-MGS-fanboy opinion is the unpopular one (and pretty rare).

We all like/dislike different things. End of story.

To add on: I also don't like Wolverine, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Trek, Halo, Gears of War, emo hair, Fall Out Boy, American Idol, and whatever else people are "into" these days.

Nikkolas has a serious problem with the concept of context, I think.

    Just watch this.

Even people who hate FFX agree Auron is pure awesome.
Umm... I'm sorry, but you comparing Ash to Auron.. YOU just insulted Ash Williams.

Auron will NEVER be HALF as iconic of a character as Ash. He's not even on the radar.

LOL @ you fawning over a video game character.

You're right, I never got past MGS1. But what I saw there...gruff voice, I'm-the-best-there-is attitude, chicks drooling over him, perfect soldier mumbo jumbo, "hero worship" from all other characters in the game...it doesn't appeal to me.

So instead of playing the other MGS games, I chose to do other things, like write, study, or play sports. So in a way, I was doing homework.

I already said that my anti-Solid Snake stance is never popular. Everyone always gets pissy when I say I don't like him or MGS. I don't see what the big deal is. Obviously not everyone likes the same things.

And I never said he was a "pompous asshole." I said he was a pompous (arrogant attitude that he's the greatest soldier ever), over-the-top (beats up hundreds of soldiers, defeats a ninja, shoots down a helicopter, destroys a huge ED-209 knockoff) jackass (utility word to describe unfavorable things).
