New Resident Evil Comic

Does anyone know what happened to this God-awful thing? I never once saw it on any shelf. Did it just fizzle away and die? What happened to the South American Nazi angle? Has anyone scanned it? Hell, did anyone even buy it? LOL.

EDIT: I just realized that by bumping this old dog, I made it look like there really is a "new" comic coming out. Sorry guys.

I have both issues, and no they haven't even mentioned the "South American Nazi angle" lol. The second issue is just as god aweful as the first one, the only reason I continue to buy them is because there's a local comic shop up the street. I like how these comics were suppose to reveal "The tragic story that still haunts Chris", and Chris probably won't even make a single cameo in the series

What's with the caps? This topic is about the new RE5 comics, so if you're talking about a different comic please clarify that in your post, otherwise it'll just confuse people.

Well, at least they are in no way related to the games and aren't part of the story. And no one will ever prove different because the story will never finish and no impact shall be felt.

I swear, if they reference this in DSC I will kill someone.

this comicbook is like Jason X with Doom Movie its crap i saved my money for some else. as for jim lee's art work is kinds lame where he drew jill looking like 40 years old on that cover. i could do better than that

I noticed they had the first two issues of the RE5 comic in a section of the store labeled, I kid you not, "Crap."

A fitting place for such a horribly bad product.

I still remember to this day the name of the main character: Holiday Sugarman. That name alone was enough to give me an assessment of the RE5 "comic." Once I read that name, and saw the preview of a hero (?) with a handlebar mustache - not to mention the poor choice of the comic production team to declare ahead of time that the series would not contain Chris, Wesker, or anything related to the actual RE5 game - I knew I would NEVER pick up this book. It looks like everyone else thought the same thing.

Holiday Sugarman, LOL. He who is the epitome of crap.

I mean, c'mon...Holiday Sugarman?! If that's the best they could come up with for a hero's name, then I can only cringe at the thought of their storytelling abilities...

I went to the local comic book shop here a couple weeks ago to pick up the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mirage Collected Book Volume 1, and I noticed they had the first two issues of the RE5 comic in a section of the store labeled, I kid you not, "Crap."

I think what killed it for me was the poses. The BSAA guy firing as hes radioing to HQ, Handlebar mustache man as hes pulling the pins on the satchel charges and then the stupified "boss" tyrant/licker/plagas/zombie/g-monster at the last page.

That's what I'm saying man, there's no attention to the background eithier. Like, there will be one character in the front that will have decent detail, but every other creature/character in the background will look like complete shit. Garbage. I bought this the day it came out because I was excited. I went back last week and it looks like no one has even touched the issues, with good reason.

I just got issue one today. I liked it and ill get the rest of them but the first few pages were quite strange. Im not a fan of BOWs in space...and the quotes the BSAA man gives where just random.
Wasnt impressed with the art though....as a perfectionist i have quite high standards when it comes to art work.

Thankfully its only $3.99, but yeah, don't go in expecting anything. Practically nothing happens in the first issue. This seems more like 1/4th of what a single issue was of the old comics.
