i always thought of her as false hope. like maybe there is someone out there who is not infected and you see her get dragged away and you think "SHIT! i gotta hurry up and save her before she gets infected"
and you try and dash away to save her but its too late.
so i like to think of her as a false hope of there being survivors in Kijuju

^ Yea, and then that one majini pops up in your face to distract you lol. I felt pretty horrible...guess you can't save them all...or any for that matter
Sad. At least you stop the virus from spreading.

The first time I noticed her being dragged off, I jumped out of my skin. My first few playthroughs, I never noticed it (although I always heard her whimpers). Then, I was starting my speed-runs, and I skipped going through that little house to cut open the barrels and such, and I noticed Allyson for the first time. It's actually quite disturbing to witness, and I feel so helpless watching her get dragged off by her hair. *shudder*Originally posted by Kronk View PostYou do realize that you encounter her prior to walking into that building, right?
There's a very quick instance prior to that where she can be seen being dragged back by her hair by a Majini. I've never been able to do it, and doubt that you can, but I've wondered what would happen if you headshotted that guy before he dragged her off.

My partner and I have tried shooting him...you can't do it. He doesn't react to gunfire.Originally posted by Kronk View PostYou do realize that you encounter her prior to walking into that building, right?

You do realize that you encounter her prior to walking into that building, right?Originally posted by GuardhouseMusic View PostWell, under the right circumstances and a shot to the mouth, a cutscene will show the bullet going down her throat and winding it's way through her insides, finally killing the Type 2 plaga attached to her spine. How do you achieve it? It's one of those things where your console has to be at a certain date, time, and brightness adjustment. Kinda like The End trick in MGS3.

Seriously, there's no way to find out if Capcom actually made Allyson out to be a ploy (it is curious that her dress changed color though). Unless you break her neck, she introduces the cephalo plaga and she does only that. Big Stu has a point in that she wasn't even given a name in the actual game. While I like the experience Kijuju blog, it adds about as much to RE5 as the viral videos.
I enjoy thinking of scenarios where the insignificant characters could have been saved, however. Or at least spoken to before their infection. The first majini you fight, for instance. They should have mixed it up and actually had you interact with a desperate human.

So it's not possible to rescue her at all? I've been wondering if a well-timed shot would have resulted in a different cut scene.
