There's a BIG ad for it on the front page of the Japan PSN. It's rotational, so just keep flicking back & forth from the front page till you see it.
Among the Japanese text are the numbers 2, 2! (Feb 2)
Clicking on it dosn't do anything... yet.
Should be up before the end of the Superbowl.
I don't know about the other regions (US, Europe) but it will definitely be available in Japan today! ^_^

Yeah just saw your post, It's gotta largest install to date on Ps3. You think it's so big because of the graphics, mercs and online or because there's ton's of cutscenes like Metal Gear Solid 4. It's like 20 hours gameplay so it cant be the play time.
