this reminds me of those porn statistics, who watches what. how the fuck do they know who is playing what?

my brothers kid plays resident evil more than him, but they have no way of knowing that.

and younger crowds also tend to gravitate to what older crowds perceive as cool. to attract younger crowds, make the series more bad-ass&scary and less sexy. thats how it attracted all age groups before.

go back to substance and hard work to create an indulging experience, not cheap tricks to catch attention. go back to what works instead of trying to weasel out of it. i mean im all for more RE clothing, but that is not the way to win a crowd unless you know your product is shit.

Sorry Josh, if you're over 29 years of age you might as well be dead to Capcom because you're in "That" age bracket.

I'm not sure that's entirely accurate as it would seem they underestimate how many teenagers/children under 18 were playing the series when it debuted. I wasn't even in school when I was exposed to horror movies. I still have a vivid memory of a particular scene but I have yet to find what the name of the movie is.

You could try looking up the details of the scene. I did that when I was trying to remember a particularly horrifying movie that I saw when I was around 3 or 4 years old. Turns out it was Mars Attacks!, a cheesy Tim Burton film. It's not even meant to be a horror movie (even with vaporizations and heads exploding), but it was so scary for me as a young child. Partly because I had no idea what aliens were at the time and the concept of them was frightening to me. The yodeling music and alien voices give me war flashbacks.

Yea, because adults don't play video games these days.

I'm pretty sure most people born in the eighties onward will continue to play video games as they get older; the market has become a huge part of modern culture. Jesus, why is everything so ass backwards over there?

I'm 27, and I'll be leaving the franchise because I'm outgrowing the ignorance of this company, not videogames.

Same here,I'm 24, remember my big bro was teasing me! telling me that zombies could get out off the PSX CD at night

But the title that really scared the hell out of me was RE2 and strangely, the details crystal clear are engraved in me: My bro playing as Leon unloaded the ammos on zombies, it was the first play so we weren't aware that you had to get da hell out to Kendo's gun shop, I remember even after Leon's death, zombies still came on & crouched on him to devour him....man,afterward my mom told me to go get her the car's key upstair in her room... priceless, absolutly priceless thinking about it!

Capcom is indeed hard to figure out. btw you're 33 ? you're out...sorry

On a side note I tended to think that most of RE fanbase were on their 20-30 with a few 30-40,young Unemployed & Vagabonds at the time discovering Resident Evil on PS1. lol

At least the Resident Evil series hasn't been reduced to a mobile phone game.

Though it's getting there if it doesn't shape up.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Absolutely agree, and it's such a depressing situation considering the heights Capcom scaled with the first three Biohazard games.

This just sounds like another excuse by Capcom to keep the series in the action direction. Nothing more.

hardcore fans send much confusing message when many mods only is room filled of zombies to shoot. do people want more to shoot or not? i think atmosphere is most important, but young audience of today often use too much headset chat, own pop music and similar when playing. so much ruined atmosphere.

mods have different goals, people want different things, how is that confusing? extreme battle mode is bad?

whats confusing is a mod that uses the same name of the game or prototype that already exists.
