Awesome! Another reason why I shouldn't have bothered with a new PSP!
...
Well, atleast I downloaded it for the PSP. XD
Thats not exactly something you want to advertise here.
What? I bought it eventually. =P
...At a reasonably lower price. XP
I had a gut feeling, and I'm glad I didn't get a PSP for the game. Hopefully the visuals will get touched up unlike past PSP to PS2 GTA ports.
Sweet. Now I can own 'em all and avoid paying money for one of those accursed devil tools.
I think I tipped this, in a previous thread... (I'm so clever)
It's not confirmed yet and it will be a good while before it's released. I'm glad it looks like it will happen, though. It's the smart and obvious move to make. The psp and ps2 are apparently technically similar machines (so I've heard), so ports arn't difficult to do.
With SH5 due out next year it's another way to milk the franchise and make even more sales.
I thought Vice City Stories looked great on ps2! It actually became one of my favorite GTA's. But since I never played it on psp, you may be right (maybe it looked just as good on psp)...Hopefully the visuals will get touched up unlike past PSP to PS2 GTA ports.
come on crisis core, come to daddy, dont make me buy a psp![]()
Whew. It wasn't even two days ago that I was in GameStop and was about to buy it for the PSP...thanks for the news, A-J!
I thought I was the only one who thought the GTA PSP-PS2 ports were visually shit.Hopefully the visuals will get touched up unlike past PSP to PS2 GTA ports.
well, to be a bit fair, vice city stories looked okey-ish, liberty city stories i agree looked shit.
Oh well, back to using my PSP as an E-book reader.![]()
The PSP will never compete in the handheld market if it's best titles are ported to PS2 all the time. It's getting boring now.
Problem is that Silent Hill Origins was very poorly recieved. I've seen mediocore reviews across the board for it (anywhere from 5/10 to 6 out of 10). That's why I didn't bother with it.
It was pretty faithful to the series though. A bit of a non-event in the main storyline, but the same could be said about Silent Hill 2. At least origins stuck with Alessa.
I thought the reviews for Origins were pretty complimentary, ranging in the sevens to nines mostly. Personally i thought it's one of the better games in the series, genuinely delivers on the scares, and like Dot said, was faithful to the series.
Another reason why the PSP won't be able to compete i realised yesterday, is that now the best titles are appearing on places like the PSN Store and X-Box Live Arcade!
