Can't go wrong with wrestling and strip clubs.

Saw 88 minutes the other night and thought it was good even though it got bad reviews. The ending was predictable and Pacino was great in it.

I watched a special edition of Blade Runner, i don't know what all the fuss is about, it was ok, but not that good.

Maybe i should watch the regular version.

blade runner is the main film that sparked cyberpunk basically if ya watch that you have already played snatched too a degree since it borrows heavily from blade runner but obviously changes the story a lot, its a classic film and i would recommend it too anyone, also on the note of films i watched the punisher (with tom jane) damn i've missed that film alot.

I just saw Transformers 2, It was pretty good but not as good as the first Transformers film.

The main reason for this being the ridiculous amount of special effects in it. So many that it was just unnecessary.

I'm arguing with myself whether this film was good or not, i can't choose between 8/10 or 7/10.

There may be a few minor spoilers ahead in my review.

Overall it was an excellent film, and Michael Bay is a good director that may love visual effects a little to much though.

Special effects are good, but it's just that there wasn't enough balance in Transformers 2. There was too many explosions and not enough dialog or plot, and when there was plot, it as quickly hurried over, but when there was dialog it was really good, but only in short bursts.

The problem with having so many CGI scenes and so little dialog scenes is that there is no time to build up to them. There is constantly something going on even when there doesn't need to be. Therefore when there is a big really cool CGI special effects scene, the awe is kinda dulled because there is no build up or distinction between it and the other parts in the film, there is no contrast between it and everything else. It's like the film was just one huge constant explosion.

It's the same if you eat Chocolate, at first it's really nice, and it taste rich and creamy in your mouth, but if you eat nothing but chocolate every minute of the day, for a week. Eventually the taste will dull on you, and you will even grow sick of it, or wont even notice it anymore. And you will want a change.

Same with this movie, and many new movies with special effects, i know Terminator Salvation suffered this same problem i think, though not to the same degree as Transformers 2 did.

It's kinda funny because Transformers 2 is kinda opposite of what films usually were. Films of old were mostly dialog and build up to the action, and that way when we got to a big CGI or special effects shot it was awesome and blew everyone away. That was the majority of most films before the 21st century. This film was the opposite in that every shot was a huge CGI moment, and only rarely was there any parts without CGI, I mean hell, there were even special effects in the short little love scene they had in the film lol. So in a way, this film built up to it's non action scenes, and when there was dialog it was usually rather good.

I did love the chatter between Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox in some parts, that was a great break from all the action. But the best character by far was probably the most unexpected, Sam's (Shia LaBeouf) mom was so awesome in it. She stole every scene she was in, i would have liked her to be the main character, she was so funny and clueless too.

There was some really neat scenes too, I'm not saying CGI is bad, there is some really good scenes near the end which reminded me if the "Suck Cannon" weapon from the Ratchet and Clank games. But a not so good thing is the CGI in the less important scenes seems of lesser quality, and is easily noticeable as being fake.

Plot wise, the film follows the same paths as any other trilogy goes, the first film, the good guys win a big but not total victory over the bad guys, the second part is the darker part, a main or well liked character dies, the world is in peril and the bad guys get there victory, and the good guys lose a lot of men, third film, the good guys will probably make the final assault and defeat the bad guys once and for all. Kinda like the original Star Wars trilogy.

So overall the film was good, but with the third film, Michael Bay should consider more dialog and plot and less CGI explosions.

Haha! lol, that's exactly what it is, a two hour explosion.

Also i forgot to mention, the film starts off a little weak, but as it progresses on it gets better.

I watched Judge Dredd last night and still love it even though it's kinda corny. I miss the Stallone and Schwarzenegger action movies and heard that they are making a Rambo 5.

    Rocky Balboa

Great film, recaptures the feeling the first Rocky movie created, great story, the movie like Rocky has a lot of heart. There's Rocky's classic humor, a great fight. Inspiring and uplifting movie.

    Transformers 2.

Watched a screener of Transformers, 15 times, before I went to the movies. An epic and awesome movie. Transformers 2 on the other hand is nowhere near as good. It has a lot of logic and believability issues. Before anyone takes a cheap jab at the idea that a movie about transforming robots has "reality problems", let me be more specific.

In simple and short terms- Transformers, especially decepticons, seized to be a force that the viewer and characters in the movie see as a real threat to the protagonists.

I'm currently watching the second half of the 1st film it really is a classic horror film, I like it I must say, before CGI was the fad and everything.

"Kristy come to daddy its uncle Frank."-Frank

ok I had to edit my post cause I saw the ending to Hellraiser 1 and OMG, AWSOME! it puts my faith in Clive Barker and I would kill to see the movie "Clive Barkers Jericho" turned into a film .
