The plot for this was entirely ripped off from Repo The Genetic Opera, honestly i was really stunned the creators didn't sue. The book Repo Men was based on was released in 2009, Genetic Opera had been going since late 1999/early 2000 and released as a movie in 2008. Genetic Opera's a much better movie in my opinion, it might be a little campy but it doesn't pretend that it isn't, and casting Paris Hilton as a spoiled plastic surgery addict was perfect casting. You should check it out if you liked the plot of Repo Men and see where it actually came from You can watch the whole thing free on YouTube legally (or at least in the UK you can).

Man. I'd love to attend something like that.

I just saw a 1981 slasher film called The Burning. It's a considerably well put together and enjoyable one among all of the crap the genre births. I mean hey, if Tom Savini turned down Friday the 13th Part 2 to work on this one it must be worth something, right?

Seriously though, it's a tense, chilling movie. Not overboard whatsoever with offing characters before you get familiar with them, but the kills are still satisfyingly gory and spared for the right moments. Also, apparently it features the first on-screen appearances of Jason Alexander and Holly Hunter, both fairly prominent characters.

Thor was a really fine film. After Iron Man 2 I had low expectations, but was surprised by how well pieced together the film was. I liked that the story actually had a nice metaphor and didn't try to be preachy about it.

As for Insidious well....Ya know who made Insidious?

James Wan and Leigh Whannel. The guys who made 'Saw', 'Dead Silence', and 'Death Sentence'.What do all these films have in common? They all suck.

Well a box is not exactly the Starship Enterprise, and neither is it a room full of people like the Man from Earth (though I did prefer Requiem for Methuselah from ST:TOS). The director has just combined the terrifying concept of being buried alive with well, a low budget, and put an Iraqi spin on it and called it artsy... Kudos to them I guess.

Strange how the movie never gets a claustrophobic feeling across like shorter scenes in Kill Bill II, Double Jeopardy - perhaps like I said earlier, its because they were just more busy zooming in and out all the time.

Just saw Morning Glory with Harrison Ford.. not too bad, I can sort of relate to his character - this is life, be serious!

Actually I kinda liked Saw and Dead Silence (at least parts of it)..

Ever walk out of the cinema thinking how crap that movie was and then hear your friends say it was really good? Yep, that's me and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Went to the drive in and saw Thor last night, it was a decent movie. At the very least they confirmed our suspicions about there being an Avengers movie. Next on the movie list is Green Lantern. I refuse to see X-men on the grounds that they are already changing story elements they laid down in Wolverine...

Well being how poorly Wolverines script was, I cant blame them. Marvel Studios is a really shoddy production company when it comes down to it and when they fuck up, they fuck up hard.

Look at The fantastic 4 films, Dare Devil, Ghost Rider, X-3, Spiderman 3, the Punisher films.

So far they've only had 5 films that haven't been crap,Thor, two X-men films, and two Spiderman films.

This X-men film looks then times better than X-3 and Wolverine combined.

You're better off forgetting Wolverine happened, everyone who saw has.

none of the x men or spiderman movies have been done by marvel productions company. when they sold the rights to them they had no idea that they would be opening a production company. the contracts state that if a new movie isn't made within five years the film rights revert back to marvel, thats why we saw the wolverine movie, this upcoming spiderman movie and this "First Class" that doesn't have any of the original x men in it.

But marvel does own the rights to all the iron man, captain america, hulk and thor movies thats why those movies are truer to the comics. I think they should do a Sgt Fury movie, everyone loves killing nazis.

Stan Lee is the man 'nuff said.

I don't understand your stance on the first Punisher. The second film was utter garbage I agree with that, but I thought the first one was a great movie.

Actually I thought the first Punisher film was slow, boring, and just not interesting really. I know why it ended up that way too so its not completely the directors fault. The film was supposed to have a budget of like 60 Million, but it got nerfed down to 15 million.

So the script had to be condensed down to what it was, which was mediocre.

The one thing I hated the most about the film was the directing, but again not entirely the directors fault as their shooting schedule was also trimmed down to slightly less than 2 months. Thats not as much time as it sounds like really.

Basically this film was almost set up to fail by the Studio, I could see a lot of what they were trying to do with the film, but it just never really got there.

"The Celebration". Very interesting Danish film! Had me quite on edge.

I've always wondered what it would be like to go to one of those drive in cinemas. You don't get them in England and I always picture them like that grope scene in Grease.
