I watched it a long time ago, and I thought it kicked ass. I also played the game before I watched the movie, so I was kinda confused but the movie cleared everything up for me. Question about the movie's ending:

In my opinions, John Carpenter's best movies were Halloween.
Escape from New York.

Escape from New York was his second best movie, next to the Halloween series. I haven't see the sequel to Escape From New York.
im not a halloween fan.
escape from new york was amazing tho.
If I hadn't been raised watching Halloween since I was 5 years of age, I probably would not like it. But it's nostalgic for me.
Jason...I never did get into those movies. They bored me. How many were there? I lost count.
Wait...What about Bon Jovi?

Released in 2003, it follows an almost identical story line, but has more big hair.
seen the remake of the day the earth stood still, seen both the old and now this one it ain't too bad.

LOL, I thought Steve Buscemi did a good job as well. I saw the Soloist last night, not bad. Downey jr. was awesome as usual, Jamie fox did a good job as well. FYI...they wanted the movie to be honest so they used all real crackheads, homeless people and what not throughout the movie...sad. I thought it was a good role for Downey since drugs almost killed him a dozen times in the past, I'm glad that he made a come back![]()

Vampires doesn't have to be a guilty pleasureI like John Carpenter's Vampires. I own it on DVD.

"lol Friday the 13th and Halloween are practically the same thing just diffrent characters."
I like Michael Myers better than Freddy. He's creepier, and the music that plays when he's about to kill somebody is amazing.
I would say my favorite John Carpenter movie is either The Thing or Halloween. Assault on Precinct 13 shouldn't be overlooked though, even though the characterization at times is a little incongruous (western-type characters in a thriller) with the tone of the film. It's still suspenseful and it has one of the most ballsy scenes towards the beginning.
