Yea that was probably the last funny movie that Jack Black did.

Well, if going near my house doesn't terrify you into a coma we'll let you drink. Not that we drink much and my wife not at all. It's likely we'll only go through some alcopops, a bottle of mead and maybe half a bottle or actual alcohol. So if someone prefers they can avoid the stuff completely, which is likely not that bad an idea. Besides, the drinking age here is 18, but that generally gets completely ignored. My school had a party in a pub when I was 16/17 and everyone was drinking. Everyone. Teachers, students, bar staff...
Saw Watchmen. It was a good adaptation, I must admit. If anything it may have stayed a touch too true to the comic...the pacing didn't work as well. However, I'm hearing good things about the director's cut. http://www.somethingpositive.net/sp07212009.shtml
Heres another one
Spoiler:
YouŽll have to watch it. Ever came to a realization about a movie, that watching it, despite not liking it, is like a cultural obligation? You have to see it, otherwise you dont know how the world works or youre stupid or something? Thats the same thing with Twilight, youll just have to grind yourself through those 1.5 hours. The movie is entertaining, once you get used to gagging, that is. I dont know how to explain this phenomenon to you, but if I had to use a picture, this would describe it-
Spoiler:
The movie is basically every teenage girls wetdream. The main character is a girl, who is beautiful, but beautiful in a natural way. Shes smart, and has a personality, so shes not like everyone else (zing!). The guy is mysterious (hes a fucking vamp!), hes handsome and has the jawline of David Coulthard, so hes manly, strong. Then hes quiet, but extremely intelligent, caring, and can be agressive (manly!) when the situation calls for it. Hes perfect. And then theres everyone else, whos a pure and bland representation of what a typical "father, mother, brother, sister, dog" would be, but noones focusing on them.
So, in short. Get up and watch it.
I read this one before I went to see it with a girl. So I was well prepared-

That comic strip could not be any more fitting for Twilight. xD
Heeey I'm a teenage female. D=
Ausatralia, what a long and nice story, reminded me of Casa Blanca (is it "White House" in english???)
I imagine your room to be the only cobwebbed room in your house among other things...but how bad could it really be?
And I see about the drinking thing...
Eh, I think I'll wait a bit longer. No use putting my liver through hell at this age. Thanks anyway, though.
And I read the graphic novel, which I liked very much...
I wonder how it really compares to the adaptation. Though I've heard that the novel is still better then the movie.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Despite the fact that some parts of the book were missing, the film was very entertaining.

Inglourious Basterds.
I'm surprised. It's neither ultra-violent in the same sense as Kill Bill pt. 1 or smarmy dialogue-heavy like Pulp Fiction/Reservoir Dogs. Not that I dislike any of the aforementioned films for those reasons, let alone at all. Either way, Tarantino made a tight knit film with likable characters, good dark humor, and a great resolution. Though the Sam Jackson narration (for maybe a little over 1 minute in total) was arbitrary.

"How 'bout you, Lash LaRue? Can you keep your spurs from jingling and jangling?"
Pulp Fiction. Harvey Keitel. Winston Wolf. WIN.
I dont think that Inglorious Basterds was Tarantinos best work to date, as many do. I hold "From Dusk till Dawn" and "Pulp Fiction" superior to it.
But its a great movie nonetheless. Its a good month for moviegoers.
What do you think about True Romance (if you've seen it that is)? That's written by QT but directed by Tony Scott. I think it's a nice little film. Some cool scenes, such as the one between Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken.

Saw District 9 the other night and thought the movie was ok. Started off slow but towards the end it got better and enjoyed the ending.
The Final Destination
An utter piece of trash. Imagine when FD3 is completely stripped from its nonexistent story and supernatural vibe, you get TFD... The cool aspects of FD1 and somewhat even in 2 were these mystical themes which served as great buildups for the deaths. Death itsself was never "obvious" in executing its plan as the most it did was summon a small breeze through a window at the right time. In TFD, shit is literally moving around on its own...
Its garbage, and I laugh at those who are trying to excuse the movie out with "but its only a horror movie, dont take it so seriously".
