I love how the person playing Mark is working in the scene where he's "hacking" other websites. He's got those super awesome speed powers when he writes shell commands. It's NOTHING like that. And anyone, seriously, can do what he did in that scene. For example when he gets those images he just gets access to the security-free database server and simply downloads an image file... I love how he says "so I just wget and it's all good to go".
I really hate those fake representations of coding in movies.
Oh, and when that person that plays Shawn wants to greet a guy and then Mark says "he's wired". That's fucking retarded, he can still say hello. Programmers are not freaks or something.
Buried. I thought Hard Candy was being impressive by having two actors and the majority of scenes in one house. Buried takes that concept of limited actors/locations even further and does AMAZING with it. The tension was always high and Spoiler:
it has probably one of the most effective endings I've seen in awhile.

I really really really want to see Buried. I <3 Ryan Reynolds.
I wonder when people will get sick of those good guys vs. bad guys with action hero movies. They've watched them since like the year 2003 (when action hero movies was the next thing in Hollywood). For instance, The Green Hornet is number 1 in the box office this week and Black Swan is number 5.
Personally I'm getting tired of such movies. What happened to historical movies? That was nice.
I thought heroes got canceled because NBC fired all the original writers and consultants after the 3rd season?
It did get canceled. Only they ousted the original writers after halfway through the first season. Ever since then it just spiraled downwards until it finally died at season five, I believe it was.
I'm glad Heroes went tits up, I never liked that show.
Neither did I.
So I just watched Black Swan. Incredible, absolutely marvelous. Easily the best of what I have seen lately. Kind of expected, since well, it is Darren Aronofsky.
Natalie Portman deserves the Oscar for her performance here.
Spoiler:
Funny in the train scene to see that old man. Aronofsky used this actor in his film "Pi", also in a train scene, to depict an imaginary person. In "Pi" the old man was singing. He also appeared in Aronofsky's "Requiem for a Dream".
Just saw Predators for the first time.... never got around to seeing it at the big movie house.
It was obvious to me that Fox were not looking into investing a lot of cash on the project. I mean, most of the effects were of the practical kind. I think there was only 1 single CGi creature in the whole thing. And only 3 Predators. I think there were more in the original sequel.

The Green Hornet is actually a COMEDY. It's not really playing it straight at all. If you go to see it expecting that it will be a dark serious movie, you'll be disappointed. Most people didn't know what to expect from it since the Green Hornet is more of a niche-type franchise. Thus why it's doing well with most ppl.

Heroes had a pretty good first season, but everything after that just went to hell in terms of quality and story/character ideas (though, Kristen Bell's character was a pretty nice concept - especially how she had an actual weakness and stuff to her ability.)
Recently found myself rewatching Napoleon Dynamite, Interview with a Vampire, The Prestige and Proposition. Good movies. Now onto finishing my 80s fun, I think (in the middle of a rewatch of The Goonies, The Princess Bride, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Breakfast Club and Weekend at Bernie's)

It's turn-your-brain-off entertainment with actual quality.
Also, yeah, I finally saw Buried tonight; seems to be a bit of a popular movie here.

Oh, I thought they got ousted halfway through the second season, during the writters strike or something.
I re watched the first series of Heroes today and I still really enjoyed it. Its a shame really.
Watched the Nightmare on Elm Street remake last night. Not very good to be perfectly honest and I actually preferred the original. Also I'm not sure If I like the new Freddy or not.
