Personally I think the less recurring RE cameos in the game the better.
Throw in Wesker, possibly Sherry if they're relevant to the plot, but realistically throwing all existing STARS members and RE characters into the game would probably ruin it.

Hurray, some new info on RE5!
Here's my 2 cents: I think we'll see Steve in this game one way or another, possibly more animal-like this time, attacking anyone regardless of them being friends, enemies, etc. Yeah, so no more touching "clare i lov yoo" scenes, though he might recognize her for a second before permanently losing his humanity amd launching an all out attack.
