Damn, you guys are right, the extracting process is a pain. They keep on coming out un-regulated and won't be extracted properly.

We've gotten so far already, why give up?

Is there any player that supports high-res FLVs?

The flv is extracting wrong. Its not really 2000 pixels wide.

It has something to do with On2 VP6 True Motion codec... It works fine when embedded in the SWF, but once out the FLV acts like its retarded and doesn't play well with the other FLV players...

I think the extractor is the problem. What are you using? VP6 is what we use as well and its fine. My guess is the FLV extractor's weren't built with that method of FLV in mind, since its basically a hack.

Use a good quality screen recorder to tape a clip that you can't use a ripper for. I mean, I've used them to record clips from Windows Media Player before that wont even let you take a screen cap of them.

A quick note - the topic has a typo. It says www.residentevi.com

All very interesting. But the 72 hours is only 3 days. The count down already shows 18 hours gone. So this count down will expire well before the 31st??

Yeah, that's probably the culprit then. I'm not a big user of flash so this was my real first time reading up on it :-\

I'm using the same decompiler I've been using for years: Sothink SWF Decompiler. I've been using it for atleast 3 years since I remember using it when the RE4 SWF's came online.

Has anyone tried to extract it, then convert it to .avi or something?

That's right, Dot. Try using Hypercam: http://www.hyperionics.com/hc/ (works as a freeware too ;) )
