Well, either way, GOW3 is gonna be amazing. I hope I have an HD TV by the time it comes out, but I surely will.

I think RE5 will have great graphics! But that doesn't mean I'm discounting other games. I know a LOT of games that have stunning visuals, Biochock, God of War, Tomb Raider, Okami, REmake, RE:UC, Rule of Rose, etc...etc...

Are there any teasers for GOW3 yet??
What's the plot line supposed to be?

There was a teaser... I thought it was pre-rendered... But... Could it be that it's actually real time PS3 graphics?

I'm guessing the plot will be of Kratos and the Titans vs. the Gods.

GOW3's graphics will be far superior to real life, XD.

See, that's why I was like, "Well, that's awesome, but that can't be realtime PS3 graphics."

But according to David Jaffe (the guy who created God of War, but isn't actually working on this one), he saw the work they were doing and those were his words, "like a painting come to life."
Even if those were pre-rendered, I'm sure that whatever real time there will be, will no doubt be beyond anything we've seen on the current generation so far.

why did david jaffe make the first one but give the second and third one to cory barlog?

    why give your series away?

Who knows. Maybe he got so much money off the first one that he decided to take a break?
Either way, since it was Sony who published it, it's their property, and they can have anyone they want making the GOW games. It's not Jaffe's property.

Not that I can see. He was with GOW2 and with Chains of Olympus. But it doesn't seem like he's working on this one at all. But he did see the stuff they're working on, and they don't just let anyone into the development studio. So maybe he's just overlooking it, either way, he's impressed.

GOW3 is going to be an amazing game, probably the only reason I'd consider getting a PS3. Eternal Darkness isn't overrated, infact I find it to be one of the most underrated games I've played. I love the game and its story and the ideas, it's brilliant, and it genuinely scared me a lot while playing it. That scared me more than any Resident Evil game ever did.

i hope GOW3 lives up to the hype, something games this generation have consistently FAILED to do.

It's underexposed. But not underrated. Not a lot of people have played it. But those that did put it on a pedestal and I think it's too much.
I honestly didn't find it that scary. Aside from that bathroom scene, and the very first time you're in the mansion, there wasn't anything that scared me about it. Definitely not as creepy as REmake or RE2 were the first time I played them.
It's an okay game, and it's pretty unique, but I didn't feel like its true potential was realized.

This is probably going to be considered blasphemous by many people, but I have never played a single GoW title in my life.

The scary parts of that game were when your sanity meter hit rock bottom and shit like the fake "YOUR MEMORY CARD IS CORRUPTED, YOUR SAVED GAME HAS BEEN DELETED" message popped up and the way it pretends to screw with your TV's settings.

Then it must say something if the majority of people who've played it put it on a pedestal. I love that game and it takes a lot for me to say that, about any game. I love the characters from CVX more but if I had to say which game I enjoyed playing more out of the two, I'd say Eternal Darkness. It's brilliant and I'd recommend any fan who's ever played Resident Evil and enjoyed it, to buy this game.

That wasn't like, horror scary. It was like, "Aww crap, you stupid machine" scary. It wasn't horror, it was more like, mindfuck. It was cool and effective the first time around. But it didn't creep me out.

Well, Code Veronica wasn't that scary for an RE game.
But I played Eternal Darkness, and see, things like that, like, "It's brilliant," is what I was expecting, and I was severely disappointed. It's really not brilliant. The ideas were brilliant, but the game itself is good. Just good.
