CV didn't scare me at all apart from that opening cutscene where a dead body is dragged under that house. But I don't enjoy games just for their scare factor. I got this game, not knowing what to expect (I got it years ago, before I was part of any online community and had heard nothing of it). Put it in, and the sanity effects freaked me out. Scared me so much to the point after that bathroom cutscene, I just saved it and turned it off, and didn't dare play it again for at least another month.

I dunno, I thought it had some creative ideas. But I didn't enjoy it all that much.

About 12/13. But bear in mind I was about 7 when I played RE1, 8 when I played RE2, etc, and this scared me more than when I played those for the first time, which means it had to be doubly scary to have the same/worse effect when I was nearly twice the age.

Well, I dunno... I played it for the first time this summer, and it only scared me at first, but after a while, that effect heavily faded. But maybe I've grown somewhat numb to horror in general. The last game that actually creeped me out consistently was Silent Hill Origins. And that was around this time last year.

Rule of Rose is the scariest game I've played. Even thinking about it makes me shiver. That was a true survival horror game!

ive seen some gameplay videos of it.

i don't think it has weapons but i thinks it's a little like haunting ground, cause you have a dog with you.

it's story looks very interesting.

It looks very good, and has an interesting plot, but combat is badly done and, of course, all the controversy over the game undeserved.

Basically, someone heard 'child' and 'abuse' in the same sentence and assumed it meant child abuse, and so it was banned in Europe. Which is a shame since it's actually a bunch of kids abusing a grown woman.

I agree, the gameplay was crap, but the storyline and atmosphere overshadowed that flaw to the point where it was tolerable.

Currently most looking forward to Alan Wake. In Remedy we trust. And also a few other games next year.

That game is like.. one of the best ever. For me, personally. The ending scenes make the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

The game is very interesting, albeit quite disturbing.
I never got past this fish bitch, oh well...

Anyway, gameplay is slow and get tedious, but the story is very interesting, but if you're into fast moving characters and gameplay, its not really a game for you.

Its just a disturbing game about a girl who stumbles upon a group of girls that live on their own and have their own rules, torturing the ones at the bottom of the group.
The group are full of young girls though, and it has some lesbian stuff in it (Nothing graphic, just in notes), thats supposedly why it was banned here.

zipper, the guys that made socom, hmm, i hope this game is better than socom.

i like mostly all genres, but im still not sure on Rule Of Rose and Eternal Darkness.

but they look pretty good though.

Get Eternal Darkness. It's one of the best standalone games I've ever played. That and Mass Effect. I bought it not knowing what to expect, and was blown away by it. I love it.

I thought Eternal Darkness got repetitive by the 3rd or 4th Chapter, it was pretty much the same stuff, while the intro and the first 2 chapters I thought were great, and had some pretty creepy moments for its time, I found the rest of the game pretty much was me running around hacking things to ribbons trying to find the next forced scare.
