Leon has a habit of emoting over people he's known for only a couple of hours. It seems to me that Leons a bit too needy. Did his parents not love him enough?

It's not that, per se. It's that making fun of Leon - in any way - upsets people 'round these parts.

Personally, I think every line he utters in RE4 is pure toxic refuse. RE2...well, I can forgive the dialogue in RE1 & RE2. They've got the charm of their B-movie roots.

There's no excuse for the dialogue in RE4.

The dialogue for Resident Evil is notorious for being terrible and even more notorious for never improving. Why they don't get better script writers is beyond me. Capcom is whacky like that.
