yeah but if you add up the rest of the RE1 ports as well, i mean RE1 had more than 3 ports, so i still think if you added up every version RE1 would be on top still.

RE1 was only ever ported to the PC. And it's other re-releases are already listed. If anything it would still only be around 5 million. RE2 would be well into the 6 million mark.

^You beat me to the punch, but I'm still going to lob this grenade...
"You pervert!"
Moving on...how did this thread turn into a debate on the selling power of individual RE titles?
Sales figures don't justify which title is best or worst. I'd base popularity more on the consensus of the opinionated fanbase. Ultimately though, we all have our individualistic likes/dislikes.

Oh yes. The hatred for Leon is strong. Considering this, I liked Leon in RE4. *GASP*
To me, it actually fit Resident Evil to a T. Both Resident Evil and Leon are incredibly cheesy yet try to take themselves seriously. That's their charm if you ask me. Don't go thinking I adore everything about Leon though, I'm actually pretty angry that they just changed his character like that, but hey, Capcom has a kack for that (Devil May Cry anyone?).
I liked Resident Evil 4... Not so much as a Resident Evil title as just a kickass game... I just think they were trying too hard when they updated Leon's character. For girls, somehow I think it's worse because he's got that kind of cocky personality that I find is too much. Chris can be, but to a more subtle degree that I like.
That's just my personal opinion. I know lots of people think differently, but that's the way he seems to me and nothing is going to change that. I just don't like Leon or his dialogue.
Yes... I do.Is there anyone else on this board who actually likes Resident Evil 4?
I_F**KING_LOVE_IT!!!
And for the record, I love the old games too.![]()

Why do topics always go off of the rails?
Because discussion naturally evolve to different topics related to the first, and continue going. It happens in life as well, at least to me.
It's because all the newies off the GameFAQs boards seem to have one ultimate goal of turning every single goddamn topic into a new RE4 war![]()
And I've never once posted on GameFAQs.
Most people consider that forum a joke anyway.
