I don't think that Claire will return as a main character, she served her purpose in the series and Chris will never let her join a bio terrorism organization he wants to protect her from all of this. Same thing for Barry, he has a family he don't wants to get involved in the fight against bio terrorism.

I think with Claire it depends how "big" of a role Sherry will end up having in the series. I mean, if RE5 leaves off with no closure for Sherry, then Claire will pretty much have to return as a main character in order to help finish Sherry's storyline.

And, if for some reason Jill really *is* dead, then they better damn well have Claire return, because there needs to be a female heroine somewhere, considering I doubt we'll ever have Rebecca as a playable character again.

Already done. REDegeneration is her last RE Chapter.

As leon said, she decided fight evil in a different way, unlike him and Chris. So, no Claire return in a REgame.

And... I think Capcom will make Ada retire after RE6.

From now on, only men as heroes.

That's actually a pretty good idea but If Sherry appears in RE 5 then Chris will finish her story. That means that Leon will return to finish Ada's storyline right?

Its' pretty obvious when you look at the movie.

Deg is ALL focused on leon. He is the hero, he is "badass", he has no expression on his face, he fight the moster etc etc...

Claire is "USELESS", she doesn't fight she doesn't do anything important. She talks and asks for Leon's help. Her presence is just a gift given by capocom to old fans. Nothing more. Even Angela is more important than Claire.
I know.. it's sad. Really Sad. But Leon's words are clear. From now on, the only heroes of RE will be Chris and Leon. Women, like Sheva, can be supporting characters or enemies.

Unless something changes in Capcom's mind.

i haven't seen degeneration yet but im doubting it will be as good now, i was hoping for Claire to be in the spotlight and Leon the little side character.

capcom needs tp put there female characters back in the spotlight, especcialy because they have some of the greatest female characters ever.

also i refuse to see Jill in a supporting characer role, i think id actualy rather her dead than see her character raped and ruined like that, same with Claire.

Well, if Sherry is in RE5 I think it's a reintroduction of her character, not a conclusion. And, yes... when Ada's storyline comes to an end, I would expect Leon to (unfortunately) show up again.

These are just my opinions, of course. Capcom may very well just up and decide never to use either characters again and write them off via some miscellaneous file or something.

About all we already know about Jill, all of this left me far confused... I can't wait until March to find out about her plot in the game.

now everyone is anxious to know about Jill's real fate, wether if they hope she is still alive or they just wanna know how she died...

I have to say, capcom has quite a bit of a selling strategy there...

and if they really should kill her off then that's actually a change of things in the RE franchise, killing of a really important character, makes me hope for a good plot in RE5, because for one Chris would be emotionally down cause of Jill's death... gives me hope for a plot that would go deeper under my skin than RE4's...

Ok so in 65 mins of cutscenes they gotta explain why Chris is in Africa whats going on, why Sherry, Wesker, Excela, Spencer, Birdlady, Ivan and more are there and what happens to them oh and if they got 2 mins cram in a scene where Jill dies. Thats pathetic its all so rushed I dont think there is any need for this Jill nonsense its just a way to get more hype and if they kill her off in a 50 second cutscene then the disc is going against my wall. Think we deserve a little more than that, I love how crappy some franchises treat thier fans. If shes dead I hope Resi dies March 13th because it will be to me.

What are you expecting? MGS-esque cutscenes? I'd rather play a game than sit through hours of cutscene. In my opinion, 65 minutes is enough. It can tell the story without rambling on in pretentious, self-important hyperbole.

indeed it will be nice if the actual gameplay dictates some of the storyline as well, but i doubt that.

65mins is quite a bit, most cutscenes in resi arent long, but they do add up i guess. We may have 2 have a wesker report document to fill in the gaps

It's only cut scenes time, maybe it be longer, who knows, but their be dialogue and interactive cut scenes, so to speak, in the game, ala gears of war. It be fine.

Of couse many people if they losses someone close to them they can be emotionel down for years of years so scoot Green im with you if we have a chris walking around with those kind of emotions then that can add a very great and kick ass feeling to this game and it will make it more kinda sad at the same time.

I doint expect Re5 to have like over hours of cut scenes like MGS4 if theres hours of cut scenes there's not much gameplay but the Resident Evil series has never been much on cut scenes more on action and puzzles.
