General consensus of RE5 demos

I don't have a PS3 or 360, so I have not been able to play any of the demos. I've seen various posts here and there about people playing them, but I haven't seen too many opinions on the overall "feeling" toward the gameplay.

After playing said demos, can y'all please tell me how you feel about the game itself? Personally, I am not going to buy a PS3 until I pick up RE5 on 3/13, so I just want to know how everyone feels about the game so far.

honestly, it feels a lot like a faster/refined more polished Resident Evil 4. The new control scheme probably adds more to it, but i didn't like it and used the old RE4 controls.

I am very satisfield with what I've seen and played so far. The gameplay is the same with RE 4 but it has a different feeling to it. Some people complained for some bugs in the demo but I think that Capcom will fix them.

The majini's are not so smart but they come in big numbers. They run fast and then they stop when they get to close to you, giving you the opportunity to take the first shot. Probably the demo was set on the easy mode. On the other hand, The bosses (Executioner, Dr. Salvador) are a little tougher than I expected, it takes a lot of bullets to kill them.

I also like the new Inventory system, some people will have a hard time with it but I think that it'll make the game more challenging.

Cool. Thanks for the feedback. That seems to be two "thumbs up" so far.

It's too bad the "enemies run at you and then slow to a gait" mechanic has returned from RE4. That's a poor gameplay carryover that I was hoping would be fixed.

Well the game will be more difficult if you'll play it on hard mode.

Seeing as how it stayed the same way with RE4 on Professional Mode, I doubt Capcom would stop being lazy enough to change it so they don't become more or less target practice fodder.

If you like RE4, you'll like RE5. I didn't like RE4, so by the law of detachment...

RE5 doesn't have Leon, thats a big good reason.
Seriously, though, the controls can be picked from 4 styles to your liking, the levels are nice, though they only show combat.
And even so, the Majini's are just ganados reskinned, they act exactly the same, but meh.

Jill boob, I'm in the same boat as you. I don't have a 360 or PS3 and won't be getting a PS3 probably until the game comes out. Anyway I did get a chance to play the demo at my friends and have to say that the demo was great. It plays like RE 4 but better. If the story is as good as we all hope, then this game will be another game of the year winner.

I meant, on the JP store, there is a banner that says BIOHAZARD 5 on the 2nd of Febuary, which can only mean the demo for Japan comes out then.

I think the bottom line is if you have a PS3 with internet connection in your possession on Monday, February 2, you will be able to play the RE5 demo.
