RESIDENT EVIL 5 SITE UPDATED! Trailer contains MANY new scenes. A new female character(with her top nearly naked) she wears a dress, and we see the Car scene in effect, with Steve(?) and the Bird-Woman.
We also learn more about the Bird-Woman and that she is connected with the New Female.
The New female has some kind og syringes and injects something into herself.

The official Resident Evil: Degeneration English site has launched. It has a fully translated developer's blog. URL = http://www.sonypictures.com/homevide...ion/index.html
Pretty cool site considering there isn't a great deal of information on there yet.
Is there a release date for this yet and is it straight to dvd?
New Resident Evil 0 Wii breaks into Japanese top ten....incredible...

http://e3.gamespot.com/story.html?si...om_clk=topslot Gamespot has an updated hands-on of RE5, focusing more on the controls and the subtle differences between RE4 and RE5.
Also, the 1Up Show has a segment covering RE5. I haven't watched it yet, but Shane interviews Jun Takeuchi, and Shawn and Ryan report on their play time with the game.

Not exactly news, but I didn't want to post another topic:

Gamespot and IGN's previews had me under the impressions that there wasn't a PS3 build like GDC.

Probably just a mix up with dead rising, but there was mention of RE5 on Wii.
Seems like its a slip of the tongue, Gene. Hes retracted his statement. But I honestly wouldn't be surprised. Dead Rising seems to be the "testing ground" for porting a Framework engine game to the RE4 engine.
GamePro has bestowed upon Resident Evil 5 a "Best of E3 Gold Award."

Meanwhile, RE5 is #3 on both of Gamespy's "Top 10 X-Box 360 Games of E3" and "Top 10 Playstation 3 Games of E3" lists:

The new figures can also be preordered from the official Capcom Japan shop.

OMG, WOW, WOW, HOLY COW!!!
Those are the coolest RE figures I've ever seen!
Thanks for the heads up, S-Gene.
I remember a few of them were shown here a while back but now there's more and the're actually for sale. I want all 6. They are all AWESOME!
So, they are about $20 each, yes? Seems very cheap... I'm guessing they must be small but I like small figures. The detail and the scenes created with each model are fantastic.
It's been a while since I had new RE figures to hunt down and I'm excited about these ones... YAY!
One problem... I tried to fill out a member form but there is no English option so I don't have a hope. Also, I'm not sure they will even ship international.
I might have to wait to get them from ebay or playasia if they get em'.
If anyone finds a way for 'us foreign devils' to buy them, please let the rest of us know.
They don't ship outside of Japan.
At the moment you can't use a credit card to order them for some reason. Probably because they are a preorder, and things are subject to change. Hoepfully once they land, I'll be able to order them on my credit card.
They AREN'T in the 'e-CAPCOM only' section of the store, so hopefully they'll be available from other vendors.

IGN has posted their live demo of RE5 for those who missed it when it was, well, live.

Thing is, DR will inevitably lose much of its "charm" if you will. Two years ago, the the particles, dismemberment, and the sheer number of zombies on screen was something to marvel at. Given how the engine has evolved, and RE5's current state, I'd imagine that RE5 on the Wii will resemble a souped up RE5 more than anything else.
Although I'd expect weapon swapping to be kept at minimal. DMC3 on the PS2 had that with a limit of 3 melee and firearms.
I don't expect to ever see a version of RE5 on Wii, to be honest. Frankly, I am surprised at the Dead Rising port, though I am ecstatic to finally play the game that almost made me go out and get a 360. I guess it's not impossible, but I just see Capcom not wasting the resources to downgrade such a title. I think they'll still reach their sales goal anyways, with RE5, as numerous people nowadays have more than 1 console.
I have a Wii, but am buying a PS3 to play RE5. (It helps that it is also a Blu-Ray player, since I really don't play any video games that aren't associated with RE.)
But for those of you, with only a Wii, eagerly awaiting a chance to someday play RE5 - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
