I'm attending my GameStop's Resident Evil 5 Midnight Release dressed as the Merchant.

Pics will be taken and provided, most likely on the Saturday afterwords (because I'll be way too busy playing the game to bother on Friday).

I have just about everything I need for the costume. I was originally planning to have the outfit finished by April (for a convention) but with the news of the midnight release I decided to speed up production. The only thing I won't have by Thursday will be the boots unfortunately (which I have picked out and will order within the coming weeks). All of the other big components I currently have, I just need some smaller materials like glue and paint and I need to do a lot of work on the coat (coating/trimming/ruining, attaching ammo pouches). Some of the details won't be finished in time sadly, such as the white designs on his balaclava and I've been forced to pin most of the pouches on for now since sewing takes so long.

Awesome, I can't wait for pics.

I probably wouldn't cosplay to something like a midnight release as it is, but this does make me want to do something for a con this year. I just don't know who. (my favorites are all burly men and I am a not-so-burly girls. Other characters I can crossplay,but RE-wise, you can't crossplay the men well XD)

Four years ago, when I was 15, I dressed as the Merchant for Halloween. None of my friends knew who I was, and it sucked. Bawwwww.

I'd love to see pictures of your costume though. I'm sure it will be great.

I'm not going to cosplay during the midnight release though. My one and only intention is running into the store, picking up my copy of RE5 and then driving home like a madwoman. No time for interacting with others.

As I posted in the Midnight Release thread, I'll probably do something similar. Since they're have a zombie costume contest, I was thinking of going as a zombie RPD officer, since I already have the uniform. If all else fails, I'll probably just wear one of my Leon or Wesker costumes so I can at least get some pics of me fighting off the hordes of zombies.

Yea definately take pictures of this or even record it. And under your jacket instead of weapons and ammo you should have snacks for everyone.

I always admite COS players and how detailed some of their costumes are and always want to join in and do something everytime I go to a comic book or anime convention but chicken out at the last minute. I would personally love to do a Chris Redfield or HUNK costume but it looks so complicated lol
