The story is one of the best in a videogame. Any videogame. I'm use to seeing a twist comming a mile away but BioShock surprised...twice. It was delicious. It's also a gorgeous looking game, with some damned creepy enemies and characters. Sadly, the scares are toned down by the VitaChambers, otherwise it would be pretty damned creepy too.

But you can turn them off after you download the patch though so that's a plus.

I resist such seductive information for I know that it shall only make playing the game that much more super awesome. I resist!

I heard the end boss is a robotic Andrew Ryan, like RoboCop.

    RoboRyan.

Whao, I have no idea why anyone would watch that video and spoil pretty much the entire game.

And why 2K would allow this to be revealed so early. :|

You know if Ryan appears in any way, shape or form now I'll hunt you down and kill you by injecting a ground Daikatana disc into your blood? If the tiny razor sharp bits of disc don't slowly cut you appart from the inside the pure evil of Daikatana surely will.

I bet it's not a big spoiler, I'm pretty sure the producers know that their game depends %98 on the story, and that this person who is controling Rapture will be reveled early in the game. BUT if I'm wrong, and this IS a big spoiler, and SOMEHOW I read or heare who that person is, I will be soooo pissed off!!!

Well, I'd assume its a big spoiler since we've all the promotional stuff is pointing at the Big Sister being the Big Bad so revealing the person in command of her is a huge spoiler.

It seems like something that we'd find out around the half way point rather than near the beginning.

But, perhaps we will. Either way, I'm waiting until release.

But Andrew Ryan was the antagonist for most of the game, until the big reveal. It's not like he was kept secret.

you really thought he was the antagonist? i didn't. if your a man and you build a city for everyone to live in then i wouldn't doubt he had enough responsibilities as it is, that would keep him from wanting to hurt, kill, or destroy anything that goes on down there. of course, you're gonna live in an isolated area, like a remembrance to the movie Dark City, you're gonna think the unexpected. like a small village where everyone knows each other.

Has anybody watched the video? I'm just looking at the 2K forum (but leaving all the spoilers untouched) and the general impression I'm getting is that details about new Splicers and Characters were revealed as well as weapon information and multiplayer stuff along with some Storyline details. I'm keeping away from all of it personally but judging from the reactions of the people who watched it, it was awesome.

ETA: Of course, I know a few jerks who ended up telling me stuff anyway.

But I'm still as excited and extremely intruiged about some things. In fact, I'm getting more questions than answers. Still, I'd rather of not known some of these things.

i hope they don't conentrate too much on multi-player. that's the sole reason why i even enjoy BioShock - for its unique single player experience. and sadly, its longer than most FPS games that are out there, so yeah, don't fuck it up 2K, don't make it all fuckin' short and shit.
