REALLY BIG LICKERS.
very dark shade of brown, almost black.Uh, Chris looked brown haired in RE...and I mean in-game, not live action.

I said it once and I'll say it again... just because its in a file doesn't "explain away" the stupidity of something. That's my opinion and i'm entitled to it.
I don't think anything that I or anyone else have said could be considered "flaming". We were merely stating our opinions about parts of the game... which is totally acceptable. If you can't deal with opinions that differ from your own... maybe its YOU who should not be on a forum (which are usually full of many different opinions of any given subject).

Oh, did anyone else notice that at the start of the game there was no warning that said the game included "explicit violence and gore"?
That kind of made me squirm unpleasantly when I didn't see that.
Minor detail, but important for tradition!
^In the day and age of "Saw" films and video games like "Manhunt," RE seems tame. And it's labeled on the box underneath the rating. Besides, RE5 is less gory than RE4 (and the best part of that game was all the wonderful ways to experience Leon dying, which is always a good thing).
But if you're talking about "tradition" in the vein of every previous RE game having a disclaimer, then I suppose this could be an issue.
But I think an in-game disclaimer is kind of redundant.
RE5 had some nice gore at times, like being killed by a Duvalia.
PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium
I don't think you can simply label it stupid. There were some solid reasons for doing it. Such as making Jill clearly different to the Jill we knew and by altering her hair, skin and clothes they make her clearly Wesker's partner, not Chris'. Capcom do some randomly stupid crap all the time, but this one I think they did give some thought to.
Now, as to whether you like it or not...well, that's another matter entirely. As I mention elsewhere I think the game has much bigger issues, and ones that can't be solved in 3 hours with a bottle of hair dye and a tanning bed.
And yes, you are entitled to your opinion. But simply labelling something as stupid isn't always the best plan, and people will sometimes take offense if you label something they like as stupid. Saying you don't like something is different to saying it's stupid, if you see what I mean. If nothing else it tends to rub people the wrong way less.
I remember the first time I played RE4 on Professional, and I died with those invisible bug things where you have to shine the two lasers on the door. I'd never died from them before so I had no idea, but when they spat acid on his face and it burnt half of his face off, only to leave bloody mush and his skull like Kenneth in RE1, I thought that was disgusting (but thrilling at the same time because I completely wasn't expecting it). They really should have implemented that in RE5.best part of that game was all the wonderful ways to experience Leon dying
I know, I loved the terrible ways Leon could die.
I think this calls for a montage.

I missed that in RE5. Why did they censor the chainsaw death?

^I am guessing that they toned down on the deaths in response to the cries of racism. What I mean is that the game was already being heavily scrutinized for that one aspect, and they didn't want to chance having any more unnecessary criticism on themselves.
Or someone on the development team developed a case of political correctness.
Still, Mr Spencer is right that there are still some inventive deaths. It's just a matter of coming across them all. I am still encountering different ways to perish each time I play.
As for being beheaded...do you really need to see the head separate from the body and roll around on the ground?![]()
This movie shows lots (but not all) death scenes from RE5:

And even though they aren't as gory as the ones from RE4 or RE2, they are still pretty good.

a certain one if you miss a QTE on the back of the plane cutscene is REALLY awesome ..
Spoiler:
Ya I know, I missed it when I played with a friend. We laughed. Same thing happened at the helicopter crash site. I forgot to hit the button when Sheva is supposed to shoot the chain pulling Chris, and he got impaled. Those are some of the good ones.
Yes. In RE5, you can still see their head is attached, they just try to hide it by cutting off the top frame of the screen. That irks me.
Wait a minute, when did the QTE happen with the giant bat? When I play, neither fight has that in there.

That QTE with Popocarin was in the temple level, after the second fight with it. I didn't defeat it, just run away, and had the sequence when it was chasing me.

I thought the game was great BUT Chapter 5 and 6 becam a real pain in the ass and I mean BIG TIME I started out enjoying the game and the last 2 chapters ruined it the game became fustrating and not fun any more I understand why the creater said he whould not play it because it whould be fustrating and he was right if you ask me he need to come back and put the series back on tail such as BRING BACK ZOMBIES.
