    Hi Guys!!!

    I am new here. I have a Question about this Debug Modus!! I had the RE4 Demo and i used this Debug Mode with the Action Replay on GameCube.

    Is there anyway to make this debug Mode possible in the Original RE4 Game. I have the US Version from RE 4 for Game Cube.

    Hope you can help me. This Debug Mode is very interesting. But for the full version more fun

    Nope, sorry it cant be activated in the final version of the game. However, I do have a version which has it unlocked that has the full game ;) A feature on that will follow this one eventually.

    Meaning, its not something that you can go out to the store, modify, and play. I guarantee that Dot50 didnt pick up a copy from the store and use a debug hack. He probably used another way of "obtaining" a copy...sorry, I know Dot50 doesnt reveal all to much on getting these things, and im going to honor that by stopping now

    at the demo its not the problem but for the full version were great to Play

    Hey, new to these parts...been looking over the work done on the demos debug. I found myself very excited by this and am doing some work on figuring out how to do it. I have successfully created my own US demo that utilizes the debug menu, and am working on the Jap one...and also looking over the full game, I noticed there was mention of having some debug put in to the full game, and I think I know how. Would love to discuss some things about these topics. On a side note, something small I found on the US demo that wasn't listed as known yet:

    0x10 SPF_VIBRATION
    Turns off controller vibration
    dunno if it was figured out and just not added to the site yet. Some other things you may know, I think the slow mode is called Concentration...the camo and thermal modes are pretty self explanitory. Well, looking forward to chatting sometime. I hope this post wasn't a waste of your time.

    Update, I was looking around through my RE4 Trial...and found more descriptive Room and Point names...most of the blank ones on the game I couldn't find. Also, I have a nice Item List :-) Listing LOTS of items not documented on the site...I think I have names for alot of the ones that didn't show up in the Trial. Some examples: FN57 is a weapon apparently, "FN57" "FN57 SA" "Magazine FN57". The trial has 163 items I believe...and my list has 141! Some more examples are: "Auto Aim" and "Reloader", I'm curious about the Auto Aim one...sounds weird as an item, but I tried them and couldn't get them to do anything. The List is the Item names in order from 00 up, it appears the Red Gun that causes more blood when you shoot enemies is called "VP70" on here. Only bad thing is some of the pictures are wrong, for example: the first item, 00, is called "Bllt 45IN", though the game shows a gun, it does say reload and examine, like other ammo. Various others are like this as well, with at least odd pictures, for the ones with pictures that is. I'm sure my list is correct up to hex value 80...but the remaining 13 items on my list after that I can't be sure of as those items have no picture of any sort, and I can't get them to do anything. I would guess my list is correct all the way to item 141, as it makes it to 128 without anything seeming out of place, but who knows. Any ideas where I can send them or anything, if they are allowed, I'd like to submit them. Maybe in a little while I'll look into the flag thing...I'd hope I can put together a nice list of them also

    Sorry, Tido. Sadly, there is absolutely no way at all the use the Debug functions in the final retail build of Resident Evil 4.

    I noticed there was mention of having some debug put in to the full game, and I think I know how.

    Well, my main idea for it relys on the file versions of the BH4 Trial and how they compare to the final version...from what I've noticed I think some files at least may have different "types", and possibly can't be read unless the version used supports the same kind. Then again theres reengineering some files on the final build...but that would take alot of work, like decypering headers and the like and converting the debug into it (I think)...but that may be a little farfetched. Some editing would also need to be done with my first idea. I'm still working on unlocking the debug in the BH4 Trial to test some things, and also to just explore some others...I think there is an extra (possibly event, not sure what it is) on both Trials, which I'll probably look into a little later. I know there are some item/weapon differences between the Trials, something else I'll make sure of once I get debug open. I sent the full RE4 Trial Item List to Dot50Cal. Just curious, were they already found? My list seems to be all the ones actually available on the disc, usable or not, which came to 141. On a side note, the full game seems to have some debug functions left in it, but I don't think its usable as is, compared to the debug in the trials. From what I can tell, the debug interface is removed, but at least some commands may still be there, but I'm not positive thats what they are for.

    Most of my list is almost exactly the same as the one in the Features section of the site, only a few differences in names, and I think 1 extra room name.
    I'm starting to run out of discs and ideas for unlocking debug in BH4 Trial, but I still refuse to give up on it. Dunno if this can get me in trouble, but I was wandering if maybe someone would wanna join me in trying to figure it out and activating it. I guess I'm just hoping someone else can supply the idea that triggers its activation as I'm almost out of ideas. Slight understanding of gamecube discs may or may not be needed. Just let me know if you're interested, or you could just list some ideas here if its allowed. Hope I havn't said anything bad.

    well, did you do it yourself for the re4 trial, or are you just using the one that was linked off the feature?

    Well, I used the one from the feature as a template to find out how to do it. So, yes I did it myself on the RE4 Trial, but had help from the config file from the feature one. I just can't seem to figure out how to enable it on the BH4 Trial as it seems to be done differently.

    Thanx MarkGrass, looking it over now. Quite a few fun tools I didn't know about here. I really appreciate your help. I'm gonna try a few things out, I should be pretty occupied for a while with at least some of these. One thing I'm worried about with BH4 Trial is there may be other things to edit/modify than the config file, but hopefully I'll figure it out. A weird effect I had happen on it while trying was having the binoculars hud up all the time, though zoom didn't work. Didn't help much but I thought I'd mention it.

    lol I think I've had that happen to me before too when I was playing with the trial.

    Debug mode is an access module to the game/programs coding, isn't it? It's used to test games by stressing various codes, right?
