His expression and stupid comments were his best qualities. Such a shitty character. That 2009 trailer gave me hope for him, but little did I know that his scenes in that trailer were more than half of the scenes he would have in the game. Not his fault, though...that's Capcom. I was upset that everything we saw of Irving wasn't a surprise. We saw practically all of him in the trailers, even part of his dying words. I really...really wanted him to be flushed out a bit more...but I was so disappointed.

Irving injected himself with a control Plaga. It says so in the game, meaning he did maintain control of his body. So yes, he would have jumped in voluntarily.

Irving and Excella were nice additions, but they ended up being disposable like so many other Resi side characters. I guess I'd compare them with Sergei Vladimir. I know many don't like him...but his presence served a purpose even though he ultimately perished.

Still, I thought both Irving & Excella were far more interesting than Luis Sera, Ashley Graham, Carlos Oliveira, Alfred Ashford, Steve Burnside, Brian Irons, and James Marcus.

I actually enjoyed reading Excella and Irving's file in the archive. They looked like very interesting character into wich the develloper could have had develloped.

I assume this character have a lot of potential but, he was not developed, and the injection and second mutation was pathetic
