Nice, thanks for the translation.
Seems pretty moot at this point, though, given what we now know after playing through Umbrella Chronicles and RE5. Looks like the 'report' was nothing more than a quick precursor to the incident in Russia. I doubt there'll be any information in Part 2 that's on par with "There's something about this girl..."
Whether it is moot or not is irrelevant. Most of the info compiled on PU is "moot" if you put it that way. =P
Wonder how long it'll take before those socialist bastards at RE Wikia get hold of it.
PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium
im going to go ahead and say not long.
Okay, but Wesker's Report 1 and 2 were both important because it gave us an in-depth look as to what he was up to while he was still alive, what was going on behind the scenes, and of course the line about Sherry(which may or may not have been phased out). Now he's dead and the Russia incident is a thing of the past, so reading this new translation gave me the reaction of "oh, okay" rather than Reports 1 and 2 which gave me the reaction of "hmm...interesting."
Not trying to take anything away from what you translated, just speaking my mind.

Your thoughts are 'moot'. =P

Thanks for the mature responses, as always.
You're welcome as always.

It doesn't matter if it's "moot" or not, it's a piece of information that we previously didn't know, and PU has made the effort to get it translated to share it with the community. That's what Project Umbrella is about, being a huge database for Resident Evil, even regarding the tiny things that people wouldn't pay attention to usually. I'm sure others will appreciate it.
btw thanks for the link newbot![]()
Okay, maybe you guys missed my point, and the first line of my first post.
Yes. I know it wasn't known beforehand, obviously. That's why I said thanks for the translation...but as far as the series' storyline goes, this Report really isn't that important considering the events of RE5. Maybe if we had gotten the information before RE5 came out, it'd be more interesting. It's still cool to read, but like I said, as far as the storyline goes, unless the second part of this report contains something that could progress the series a bit(like the other Reports did, or attempted to), it's not all that important.
But thank you for working so hard on this translation, Project Umbrella. You guys are amazing. You go above and beyond for the Resident Evil community and I love your site. Thank you so much. I'm forever indebted to you.
(...is that better? Am I doing it right?)

We're not asking you to be forever indebted to us. There's no need for the sarcasm and rudeness. What I'm saying is, it'd be nice not to have a post after we've spent time doing this saying "It's not really that important, it's crap". Note that News Bot put on his post "for those interested"; if you weren't interested and didn't think it was relevant, there wasn't much cause to post and say it.
1. I was interested. And then I read it, and was underwhelmed.
2. Are you saying the information in this 'Extra Report' is important to the series and is advancing the storyline?
Like I said, I'm grateful it's been translated. PU has done nothing wrong here and I'm appreciative I'm now able to read the Report. It's Capcom who has left me feeling underwhelmed after I read it. When comparing this 'Extra Report' to Reports 1 and 2, there's no comparison. My post had no malicious intent and was not the 'attack' on PU that you guys seem to think it is.
Thanks bud!! It will keep me busy for a few minutes
Thanks for translating....and not to be a grammar/spelling Nazi...but resurrected was spelled incorrectly.
Rosetta to the rescue! 'hanks for the backup.

So basically, RE Wikia are socialist bastards but ProjectUmbrella.net can publish the BSAA information I translated without asking for permission? I think it would be better for you people to stop acting like Captain Copyright if you cannot abide by your own rules.
If you release translations on the internet, be prepared for them to show up elsewhere, perhaps without giving credit to the source. You don't want information to be spread, you don't publish it in the first place.
Stuff like this only makes you look like wannabe-elitist idiots, which I hope you are not.
Wait, this is the first I've heard of it. Mind you, I don't really follow what goes on at the site these days or what content is assembled. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though, I'll have to speak to News Bot about this. It is most embarassing to be accountable for the actions of others.

You weren't around at the time, which made contact near impossible, and we essentially mirrored yours with the proper link and credit provided. You never complained, so I assumed all was fine. If you had a problem, you should've stated as such and I would've promptly removed it. It's there because it's valuable background information that fills in a few things, which is what PU strives to provide. I didn't have any problem with the Wikia providing our article, what annoyed me was the lack of proper credit and a link to the source, which just shows that they did zero research on the matter and don't give a damn about providing sources. On the other hand, all of the material on PU that came from elsewhere is correctly labelled as such, and if someone such as you had an issue with that we would have no problem with removing it for your sake. PU doesn't require permission for articles to be pasted elsewhere, we only ask that proper credit be given just as we give proper credit to everyone else.So basically, RE Wikia are socialist bastards but ProjectUmbrella.net can publish the BSAA information I translated without asking for permission?
If you had an issue, you should've came to us before and stated your complaint instead of just bringing it up in a random forum topic. That's just immature. If you want it removed, I'll gladly do so.
Anyway, quit the bickering. "For those interested" wasn't for shits and giggles. If you don't care, don't bother posting for the sake of it.
