That's true. There are a lot of nice songs that have meaningless lyrics in them, for instance. But in my opinion, you can't say that lyrics have zero influence, and Coldplay is a perfect example to that. I don't think there has been any other band that has touched as me equally. To be honest, I don't listen to Coldplay much lately, it's only sometimes when I feel like in a super relaxing mood.
Coldplay is for people who like to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Indeed. Chris Martin (the vocalist) once said that he broke up with his girlfriend because he couldn't do his job properly. He said he needed the feelings in order to do genuine work.
I hate Chris Martin. He's turning our male youth into pussies.

I'm with MoS. Yes, I know it's a whole cultural thing, etc, etc...but seeing some idiot muttering into a mic, waving a gun or grabbing his nuts with his free hands while twenty paid girls in the smallest bikini they can cram into girate around him, pretending to be arroused by his muttering and guns and drugs tends to send me into a foaming rage, whereas Lady GaGa does have actual talent. Just not as much as she should for the fame she has...that seems to be largely bought with crazy dresses made of meat.

I do it for the drugs, I do it just to feel alive. I do it for the love I get from a bottom of a bottle.
Man, I haven't heard this song in ages.

Some Cat Stevens for tonight. I've always been on the fence in terms of his occasionally intense vocals, but I like them in this song.
Right on, man! I love Cat Stevens to squishy little bits.
I'm listening to this bit of awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQj4Gid9GjQ
