Seems like the Japanese site has officially opened. Featuring gameplay system descriptions and the usual stuff.

It amongst others features a new trailer with nearly 2 minutes of previously unseen stuff;

So it seems the game is X360-only for western gamers, and both X360 and PS3 for Japanese ones (at least the PS3 Japanese cover suggests so). I wonder why have they ditched the PS3 version for us?

Well, the US release is going for an MSRP of $19.99, which is probably below what they could pull off in a so-so-ish affordable manner on the PS3... +knowing Sony and their usual bag of stupidity, I wouldn't say it's unthinkable that they had a thing or two against the idea of launching a game at budget price. Please note how Japan gets it (on both platforms) at full price of over $70.

Didn't think that price could be right, but looked on Amazon and it's there for just that...makes absolutely no sense! Why not cut out the middle men and go direct download?!

I hope atleast Hong Kong has a PS3 version in English from the Xbox 360 translation.
Or that they bring out a UK version (it's not on any UK sites AFAIK.)
and also as far as I know, Xbox isnt region free, so I wouldn't be able to import the US version...

Also, Siren was released at budget price, at least in the UK, so I fail to see how that would effect Sony's opinion on the game!

Rising Star Games, which is co-owned by Bergsala and Marvelous, several times in the past said they were committed to bringing the game over. However, there hasn't been a word about it ever since it was "re-revealed" as Deadly Premonition.

The region restrictions of Xbox 360 games vary from publisher to publisher and from game to game. There's rarely a way of knowing in advance which version(s) work on what regions other than their home region without first buying and trying.

However, in the case of Ignition USA, at least their previous 360 release (King of Fighters XII) was region free.


As for Siren, that was a first party title, not to mention the fact that SCEE =/= SCEA (although they sure have their own fair share of stupid ideas, rules, and regulations they want third parties to follow... and they should most definitively be condemned to burn in hell for all of eternity for what they did to Lik-Sang)

Just got a mail from Rising Star Games (after asking them of what the current status/release plan is for Deadly Premonition and No More Heroes 2). Unfortunately, it didn't contain any info on the US release or anything...

Unfortunately I don't yet have any information on either of those titles.

But, hey, at least "yet" is a word of hope. I suppose.

YesAsia.com has a listing for Red Seeds Profile for PS3 and X360 Japanese version.
But whats odd is that there is a listing for Red Seeds Profile PS3 Asian version too.
Usually in China/HK, they have a Chinese/English version of certain games that includes an operation manual in English...
(On the PSN store, they have different DLC for English/Chinese and Japanese versions of games also...)
It's my guess but I'm HOPING that this Asian version is English...I'd be willing to pay full price for it haha.

Well... Japan is at least getting a PS3 version. But they're also not getting the game as a budget title (they're going full price)

I can't unsee Adam Baldwin now, and when George speaks, I hear Baldwin saying the lines in my head. It fits so well, what have you done!?

Sad news;
The game is not Region Free.

Sad for us Europeans, as neither Ignition UK nor Rising Star Games have said a single word about any potential UK/EU releases. A lot of general impressions people have posted of the game are amazingly positive.
