"My character is such a favorite character in the games,"he adds, "so I'm just like 'alright I don't want to piss anyone off.'

So...Jason O'Mara isnt playing Wesker anymore? shame, i thought he made a good Wesker.
We'll just see what this guy is like instead.

Also, to reply to the person i quoted:
Dont blame the actor(s), blame the script writing, alot of the time the actor is only as good as the script...and directing of course.

Yeah, I actually have to agree. He was too... pudgy to be Wesker.

But damn, he wore those shades real nice.

I liked the old Wesker even though Paul ruined him in the movies. I only hope this new Wesker can make him even better despite shitty scripts.

He's to blame because he agreed to do the role of Wesker. And he gets money from that. And if he's a bad actor it affects the character.

No one can stop my rage. Wesker is holy.

" We have some fight scenes that are taken directly from the game. We're doing it for the fans so we want to do what makes them happy."

Omg.. just like the Code Veronica intro ripoff in the second movie?

People asked for more in the movies from the games after the first one, Paul gives you shit straight out of the games, and you still bitch about it. You can't be pleased, so just don't watch the damn movie if you don't want to. Jesus, is it really that hard for people who want to enjoy the movie to enjoy it?

(Sorry that I'm coming off pissy, I've had a really annoying day today.)

I agree that he's making an effort. The problem is that he takes too much liberty changing characters/settings and stuff.. I mean, look how Nemesis turned out: A wimpy BOW with a heart... Or getting Alice psychic powers? I mean, I know RE it's cheesy and unreal, but psychic powers? Come on...

I think he can make very great movies (Event Horizon is one of my favorite films, I see it as the real "Doom" movie), but not RE movies - IMO as an RE game fan.

So she's just Alexia Ashford then. Alexia was all but psychic... it's just changing who has those abilities, the protagonist instead of the antagonist.

Wait, wut? Has Alexia used/had psychic powers (actual mind proyection / mind reading abilities)? Maybe Lucia, she had a "psychic" connection with the BOW (of RE Gaiden)... which unfortunately is a game not considered canon.

I agree, some game characters are over the top with their abilities: evil child geniuses, US Agents with more agility that a olympic gymnastic, uber-powered sneaky bastards and so on...

But I dunno, psychic powers is taking too much freedom with developing an RE story.
However that's not what bothers me, as I've stated many times when the RE movies topic is touched is the fact that Nemesis was changed into Steve. The most relentless, horryfing BOW transformed into a mere shadow of its former self.

In one movie. And the psychic powers were in one other movie (not counting the last minute or so of Apocalypse, seeing as how... well, it's one minute). So what about the first one?

Edit: What I meant is Alexia has the mind-power to erect enormous tentacles to A. impede Claire and Steve about a mile away and B. kill supermutant Steve. What would that be called?
