So with the system set to finaly launch in the rest of the world who has one or is getting one?

I got a call today telling me I can pick it up at midnight this Thursday, I have also had Resistance: Fall of Man set aside, there is a discount if you buy two games. Does anyone have any recomendations? I was thinking Motorstorm but away from online play there doesn't seem to be much to the game. I was going to get FEAR but it has now been set to April 20th.

Oblivion if you dont have it on the PC or 360 yet, I might even pick it up myself as I need to run the game in a pretty high resolution and it lags like hell on my PC because my graphics card is a bit outdated ;P

I have one, but thus far all I have game wise is Resistance and Ridge Racer 7. I did pick up Motorstorm but didnt open it and returned it thanks to the barebones reviews it was getting.

Blu-Ray movies on the other hand, I have around 26 XD Get Casino Royale if your into action movies, Absolutely fantastic movie and its one of the best video quality and sound quality wise Ive seen.

Lol, I could get one, since they are plentiful (cuz no one is really buying them...), but I dono. I haven't seen anything to consitute the price. Anyone know if the 1080p output on the PS3 is better than that of the 360? I know Dotcal can't, but it'd be interesting to know.

Well I think as of right now only arcade titles on XBL do actual 1080p output. The games for the most part are 720p, and the 360 handles the upscaling of the game to 1080p. So the 360 is just in effect taking the image (1280x720) and "pixel" resizing (nearest neighbor) to 1920x1080.

PS3 on the other hand has a few games that run in 1080p naitive, such as Ridge Racer 7. FLOW also runs in 1080p and GT:HD Concept. I cant really think of any other ones at the moment, but I know upcoming games will support 1080p naitive on the PS3.

Couldnt justify the price at the moment, I have some pretty major bills right now so it had to unfortunately. Maybe in the future Ill pick it up.

My pal get one in PRC, Jap version with Chinese supported!!! it's definitely what I want and really cheap! But, if he ships that to me, british government is gonna ask me paying too much tax till the totoal amount comes to the same price of European version in UK.

I've only ever had to pay import tax once, and i import items all the time.
Then again, with the size of the PS3, the chances of you getting charged import tax are probably higher, and if you get it shipped EMS then you will definitely get charged import tax...

The PS3 seems to be in plentiful supply here, they've made sure all the shops have plenty consoles. I guess thats an advantage of us having to wait a little longer, it gave them more time to get more consoles ready for our market.

Why I, mate. I just checked out it in Game today. There are lota consoles, I think it doesn't matter if it's not Chinese version.

I downloaded the Motorstorm demo and it seems like an ultrasimple racer to me. I wouldn't spend the money on it either, I have read they released downloadable modes though. So far I only have Resistance and I have finished it, really good game, not sure it is enough to warrant a purchase of the console though, I only bought the PS3 because I know by year end they will all sell so I have sort of bought it in advance. Next month they are releasing a software update to allow worldwide online play so that should be cool.

Oblivion is out in a few weeks here, but I think the PS3 is region free right? I might import it or just hold on, depending on how money goes. The PS3 really has little going its way right now, I will get FEAR since I don't have it on PC or anything but I read it isn't as good as the PC original, but maybe they will sort whatever the issues are. I was also thinking of getting Rainbow Six vegas if it ever actually comes out.

Yep, PS3 games are region free. I was heavily tempted to get Oblivion for it and start over but Im going to trudge through when I get a new video card and try to beat it.
