  • Dead Rising 2 PC Version Specs, Cheaper Price Point Revealed

Dead Rising 2 is little over a month from release now and the PC specs required to play the game have been revealed, they're pretty modest considering modern PC's. The game will not have DirectX 11 support since this is not an MT Framework game. Most important however is that the PC version will be priced 39.99$, that's 20 dollars cheaper than it's console counterpart. All versions of the game release simultaneously on the 28th of September in North America.

Full specs listed after the jump.

Wait, what? Was that revealed earlier or just now?

I think it's been known for a while, this is Blue Castle's own tech, nothing from Capcom's end.

MT Framework is Capcom's internal engine; even though they outsource their games, they do not give their engine to other studios. Sucks, because MT Framework is great.

Also, what is it with DirectX 10 being mentioned in minimal specs? The game doesn't work on DX9 or something?

How is the price point news though? Aren't PC games always cheaper?

99% of the times they're 50$, the news is that DR2 is even cheaper; 40$.

But I guess the cost of games is different all around the world, in my country these days all console games cost 60 euros while the majority of PC games cost around 40 euros.

As the guy above said, it's 10$ cheaper than the usual PC game price even, no reason was specified why Capcom/Blue Castle are being so generous. Yet the console version is still full priced.

man that game requires some weak specs. you'd think with hundreds of dead things on screen, it would need a little more juice to it.
