I watched this movie without the mindset of it linking to the RE,but from the perspective of just an average movie-goer, but it seems that doesn't work quite well either. For example, they didn't explain who or what is that Executioner, and how does Wesker know Claire and Chris.

To be honest, I like the Plaga and the tunneling attributes to the zombies. Its the 2nd half of Wesker's confrontation scene that irks me.

One moment he was dodging bullets and beating up Chris and Claire with ease using his matrix-like moves (which I like). Next he was gunned down in almost an instance when he starts to fight a non-superpowered Alice, where he now magically lost his matrix-moves and switch to spawning those things from his mouth. I don't even think Wesker managed to scratch Alice in that segment. Why not have Alice, Chris and Claire attack Wesker at the same time? It will have illustrate and highlight Wesker's power, and the loss of Alice's power.

I saw it with my grandma after school since she's a huge zombie movie fan, and I have to say it was on par with the first movie.

Unfortunately didn't get to see it in IMAX. But I plan on doing so with friends either this week or next week.

D) Burrowing Zombies?! When has that ever been done before? Never? I thought so. That is lidicrious to the point of stupid. Not to mention what I said before about how ignorant it is that he portrays the majini as evolved zombies.

After all the slamming that was going on here, I was expecting the worst. Walked out satisfied. I had fun, enjoyed what I watched. I guess some people are entertained easier than others, which is fine but there's no need slam peoples tastes, they differ. The people that walked out of the theater with me enthusiastically gave it their approval, so what's the harm?

Claire running from the executioner as he slices at her was a great homage to Claire running from the mutated Steve -intentional or not- and K-Mart smacking whats-his-face with the shotgun was pretty awesome. Anything with Chris and Claire together made me really happy, I hope they do make a continuation --I would love to see them get more screen time together. Their little shoot out on Wesker at the end, left me totally satisfied.

As for the Jill cameo, I wish they would have name dropped her. Nobody recognized her and unless you played RE5, I can't see how you would have.

An issue I had is that, while K-mart's name was a cute idea in Extinction, during serious scenes where they are calling out her name...it sounded a little ridiculous...=[

for real? when i 1st read how wesker "died" i smacked my face in dissapoinment, but know i see he might have survivied, which is good since it doesnt make sense that jill is not in control of anyone, cant wait to see the movie

Without discussing my critique on the movie I can answer these questions.

1. Executioner. Even in RE5 his whole set up was up in the air. Sure he's some axe wielding majini, but a guy that size with hooks and nails throughout his body.....c'mon. I'm pretty sure they only added him in because Anderson thought he was cool.

2. According to the movie Wesker was spying on Alice the whole time via satellite. That's how he knew of her friends.

Where did I say anything that was personally offensive to anybody? I voiced my opinion by insulting the movies. The heart of the issue here is that you're notorious for getting butthurt whenever someone voices a negative opinion about them. We get it, you like the movies. I could care less if you like them or not, but the sheer amount of people who bitch about the movies yet still pump money into them is ridiculous. That's who I was talking about.
