That British character (secret service I bet, by one of the little links from the bioware page that built up to this game) has got to be recruitable character I'd say (or perhaps in the "multiplayer" segment?) since of how he has mentioned Shepard and how he was able to contact him. I'm quite surprised to see this at the end of next year, but then again they are a huge team and I expected they were working on this alongside Mass Effect 2, near its end of production. Can't wait.

He wasn't able to contact him, he just said if Shepard doesn't bring help soon, there won't be an Earth left to save and it showed Shepard looking at the Earth. The two didn't communicate in the trailer we saw. Most humans would know of Shepard cos he's the most famous human around now. 50/50 in my opinion whether he'll be recruitable/playable or not.

I'm curious...with ME2 coming to Ps3, will 3 be exclusive to 360? I've played a bit of the first one at a friend's house and finished watching a playthrough of it and 2 (and when 2 rolls around I'll buy it for myself). 3 looks amazing...I'd just rather not buy a new computer so I can finally run them without hoping for a port.

I have never played Mass Effect but I can say this - I want to fight a thresher maw on foot.

It's doable. In fact, by the third play through I suspect the weapons you carry are more powerful than the ones on the tank. But you certainly don't have the armour it does.
