Alright guys, I'm having a bit of toruble and need help. I can't seem to find my Shepard's face code in the squad menu. I want to try the ME3 demo with her. Do I have to start a game of ME2 all over again and import her(and if doing so, will it erase my current save files for the same Shep?)

Did you import a ME1 character? Those won't get face codes.

Just got the ME2 Series 1 Shepard action figure...plastic packaging is all fucked up already, don't know whether or not to open it and display him out of the packaging. I plan on opening Garrus when he gets here because there's DLC included.

Anyway, my copy of Mass Effect: Retribution arrived today so I'll be reading that for my bedtime reading! Revelation should be here tomorrow, just waiting for Evolution to be dispatched.

So, uhh...I haven't done this in about 10+ years, but I started writing a fan fic tonight. About Mass Effect. Inspired by Drew Karpyshyn and my turian Sentinel I unlocked in the ME3 demo, I just started writing after brainstorming in the shower and I couldn't stop. I busted out a full chapter.

I'd appreciate if you guys could read this and let me know what you think.

“I never wanted my mindset to get to the point where I said to myself ‘there was nothing that could’ve been done’...except in this lone occasion, I assure you.”

Lieutenant Commander Neros Kressian sat at a lakeside table in the Presidium of the Citadel, with a pretty young human female from some news network sitting across from him. She was flanked from behind by two separate human cameramen, which Neros thought was a bit much. The fact that they were all human also really bothered him to the point of consciously having to remind himself not to grind his teeth as she asked him questions.

He really didn’t want to do this interview in the first place, but was asked by his superiors in both the military and the Council to be one of the new faces of the turian species. He wasn’t going to disobey orders like that, no matter what his prejudices dictated.

“Saren Arterius acted alone,” he said, prodding the table with a gloved finger to hammer home his point. “He was a traitor...not only to the Council and everything they stand for, but to all turians.” Neros realized he was on the verge of shouting, and softened his tone.

There were about a dozen people of various races watching the interview from behind the barriers set up by C-Sec. His superiors chose this specific spot for the interview, with the glorious backdrop of a lake surrounded by a clearing of plants and flowers from all over the galaxy.

The setting for this interview was chosen for a few reasons, Neros guessed. Because of its obvious beauty, but also because most other places on the Citadel were still victims of massive reconstruction efforts after it suffered catastrophic damage in the attack by Sovereign. Even after the Battle of the Citadel, the Presidium was something to behold.

“This lone rogue has brought shame and disgrace to my people,” he continued. “We are still beginning to pick up the pieces. We’re also aware of what you humans and the rest of Council space must think of turians right now.”

The human reporter uncomfortably shifted herself in her seat, crossing her left leg over her right and raising an eyebrow to Neros’ clear distaste for her, this interview, and humans in general.

“I see,” she broke the silence. “And what do you have to say to rumors circulating through the net, that Saren was under a spell of sorts. Under control by an unknown species of alien...under some sort of, ‘indoctrination,’ if you will?” Neros leaned forward, his dark black eyes suddenly gleaming with frustration, clearly ready for the exchange to be over. He’d been sitting there for a while now.

“Is this what you humans concern yourselves with these days?” He was now leering at her. His efforts to retain his disgust now failed. “Brainwashing and mythical creatures? And magic spells? You’re a joke.” There was an audible gasp that grew into a buzz from the people surrounding them, and a turian in formal military garb pushed his way through the crowd, limping all the way, to intervene.

“Okay, Miss Lipton, I believe this interview has gone on long enough.” The turian once known as Major Septus Faran, now retired from active duty, leaned forward on the table to put himself between the reporter and Neros. He was doing his best to diffuse the situation. Neros sat back in his chair and crossed his arms, but the human wasn’t pleased.

“Major Feran, this is unacceptable. We were given full access to--” Septus Faran lifted a three-fingered hand to interrupt her objection.

“Only with permission from the Council, Miss Lipton. Don’t forget that,” he reminded her. “Ambassador Orinia and the rest of the Council have sent me on their behalf, so as far as I’m concerned, your full access has been cut short, and you have no one to blame but yourself, and your rudely leading inquiries.” Miss Lipton’s mouth was agape from the verbal assault laid on by the turian, but she knew Septus was right.

“Thank you, Major. For everything.” Both Neros and Septus could sense the bite to her words, but that only made Neros irrationally happy. “Mr. Kressian, thank you.” She reached out a hand for Neros to shake, obviously trying hard to remain professional throughout the ordeal, with Neros had failed miserably at.

Having calmed down at this point, he extended his own hand and shook hers. She gasped, obviously feeling the steely cold hardness beneath his gloved right appendage. He quickly took his arm back, trying to act like nothing had happened, and did his best to form a coy smile.

“Likewise.”

Well, Revelation just arrived so I'll be starting that. I was having a brief read of Retribution but haven't gotten too far. Also, Evolution has been dispatched! But yeah, thanks I should probably start with Revelation so the later books make sense. I was just reading a little of Retribution and got hooked, but I haven't gotten far thankfully. I'll start reading Revelation and finish that first.

Also, I assume that Deception is a no-go? I'm holding off on purchasing it until they release the revised edition.

By the way, speaking of the multiplayer - are you getting ME3 for the PS3 or X360?

Excellent, I'm sure that someone has already pitched this question before but in light of ME3 having a multiplayer component, I think it would best to ascertain what system wwe're getting it for.

Christ, I sounded like a geth in the delivery of that sentence. Anyway, I (that is "we") will be getting it for the Xbox 360. N7 Collector's Edition no less.
