    QFE!

I would also like more lines for characters based off their game likeliness (Claire, Chris -and let's face it- Leon).

The advantage (for me at least), was that I was not a kid when I first saw it on TV.

So there was no chance for me of getting unwillingly attached to it. And there was no family member playing this film over and over again in the background, while I played with my G.I. Joe toys.

And reading the reviews, it seems like I wasn't alone in thinking it was crap:

    The Bodyguard - Average Rating: 4.8/10 - Rottentomatoes.com

Thus why the idea of a remake sounds dreaful... more so when there is talk of giving the lead roles to The Rock and Miley Cyrus.

They should just take it to Broadway and make it a musical.

Not interested. I've watched the first three RE films and I have no interest in watching Afterlife whatsoever. (Although I do like to admit that Milla Jovovich is a mega-babe, and it pains me that she is being mis-blamed regarding the RE movies)

I'm more interested in Resident Evil: Damnation, thank you very much.

I hate the films, but since the third film my expectations of the franchise improving can't possibly get any lower. So for the remainder of the film's development I'll just laugh it off and enjoy the ride. The games are nearly reaching Anderson status with the over-the-top action and lack of horror. The only thing missing is Alice.

Anyway, back to the movie. I expect the return of Wesker, Alice vs. Jill, and the introduction of Leon S. Kennedy mashed into all the zombie chaos action junkies will enjoy in a popcorn flick.

Still haven't seen the 4th, but a friend of mine was shocked to hear I didn't really love the movies as much as she did. Turns out there's totally a split in the fanbase between those who've only seen the movies and those who're familiar with the games

Yeah they are milking it.. ( that dosent make it any better now does it ?. )
afterlife i think was so bad, really it was worse than the 3 movie whenever i saw wesker. I couldent stop laughing, it was a young agent smith i couldent take it serious... and dont get me started on the acting prison break dude as chris.... XDDDDDDD and those movies dosent make any sense not when you take it from the games view, and of course what ruins it all at the end of the day is....( drum sound)

    ( ALICE!!!!)

i can careless what rotten tomatoes or any other critic thought about the bodyguard.I dont go by what others think.I let myself be the judge of what I think of the movie.I happen to like the bodyguard, because i grew up watching it on vhs back in the days. But I do agree one thing Mily is a bad choice.

It must be said, it's deffintely opinion as to whether the movies are enjoyable or not. It's less of an oppinion regarding there quality...the visuals, special effects and sound is fine, the plot, script and often the acting are not. The directing can also be iffy.

Still, I'd rather be viciously sodomized by a rampaging polar bear than see another RE movie. I will, because, as I mentioned with the last one, the people I know are sadistic assholes. But still. Good movie series don't get five films. How the hell does Resident Evil keep making money? You can google Milla's tits easily enough, so it can't be that...

The only logical explanation for the ridiculous revenue numbers these awful movies rake in, outside of the people who truly enjoy them somehow, is the time of year that these movies come out -- September. Right after all the summer blockbusters have blown their load and right before the fall/holiday movies hit the big screen. There's simply nothing else to see, and bored people will go to the movies no matter what, and they think "hey, zombies, special effects, KEWL."

That's just what I think, though.

I do wonder if they put crack back in the cola for these movies or something. But there are plenty of folks who like them, even if nobody really loves them. Except Anderson himself, of course.

Oh but I didn't based my opinion on rottentomatoes. Hell fucking no. I thought it was crap the first time I saw it. And that was waaay before that site hit the web. Way before it came along.

But its okay if you loved it. I simply didn't find it very good. Which I think is perfectly fine as well.

I mean, some ppl love these craptacular RE films. Some don't. And it's all good.

They just don't shoot movies properly these days and the actors have nothing about them to engross you into a film. I also find the theme music boring and mundane, 80's ftw maybe we can get troma to do a spoof.

probably doesnt help when capcom starts to directly link the movies in the games, such as the utterly pointless laser sequence in umbrella chronicles...
